The convenience store Seulgi worked at was the convenience located nearest to the hospital and she had seen many nurses and doctors coming by often. There was one nurse who always caught her eye. She was pretty and sweet whenever she bought her snacks. It was a slow day when she heard the door opening and she greeted the customer before she recognized her. “Ah! Are you... coming for another snack?” Her eyes sparkled and she smiled brightly as she cleaned the counter quickly.

"Everybody get down!!!”

The words echoed throughout the bank lobby, followed by guns brutally firing towards the ceiling. Seunghyun, who was practically trained to deal with emergency situations, tried his best to remain calm although for the first few seconds he could feel his heart jumped out of his body when the firing started. He crouched down and took a moment to briefly scan his surrounding, trying to focus and drew himself out of the chaotic situation. By far, he spotted five men wearing black from head to toe, heavily armed. And as he was busy figuring a way out for everyone, the corner of his eye acknowledged one of the men was pacing toward a woman trapped in the corner of the lobby.

"Hey wait!!” without any hesitation or thinking twice, Seunghyun sprinted towards her. “Come on, man, don’t do this.” he shielded the woman by standing in front of her with his hands up to assert forgiveness. There was a moment of silence between the two men. Suddenly everything became so quiet when you had a gun pointed right at you. He could hear nothing but his thundering heartbeats.

      She held a finger to her lips, signalling the other to quieten down as she listened to the footsteps roam around the room. Her brows pinched together in distress, thinking of a different solution. She was definitely not keen to be exposed either. If they were to get caught, they would without doubt be dragged the police station- which wasn’t good for neither of them. Jisoo leaned closer to Irene and whispered quietly enough for no one else to hear. “There are searching the whole building and they won’t leave without finding us. On the count of three- run okay?”

Going out late at night with Jisoo was something Joohyun didn’t mind at all, despite the fact that she mostly liked staying at home. However, this amount of trouble wasn’t something she had expected. If they were to get caught in that moment, not only hers and Jisoo’s reputation will be on the line, but her whole group as well. Luckily, the police surveying the area didn’t catch a glimpse of them enough to recognize them earlier, or so she thought. “Wait!” The older stops her by holding onto her wrist. It seemed like a pretty reckless move. “Why are we going to run? They’re still looking here...we need to make them look away somehow...”

“It’s also a scientifically proven fact that Santa doesn’t come when you pry on him like that.” She mentioned pointing at the chimney and crossing her arms. Jisoo was definitely not the most Christmas spirited person, but neither was she the least. But from her perspective it was almost amusing to see how a grown man like him could still get delighted to such extend by the simple idea of an imaginary old figure coming around to deliver presents. “Trust me, after 21 years of trying…it never worked.Santa is a smart old man-”
