Things I did today: tried to hunt down a Switch (no dice, we were #20 out of 10), replaced my iPad keyboard, got breakfast out, planted all the plants we picked up yesterday. Set up some coconut coir to soak for mulch. Got the wild idea that since all of my seeds were out of date and I wasn't getting boysenberries until the end of the year, to seed that bed with everything and see what came up. It has been dubbed the Bed of Wonders. We shall see what comes out of it. Generally there were beans, there were also some squash, peppers, tomatoes, and random other things. Lettuce, carrots, beets, watermelon, cabbage, fennel — who knows. Wrote down where everything was. Lunch. (Leftover pizza. Easy.) Went to work on one of Alvin's shirts. Got the interfacing and bias tape done for the neck, the body sewn together, and the collar put on. FFXIV for a couple of hours. Unlocked Snowcloak. Dinner. (Turkey and white bean chili I'd made earlier in the week. Blue corn tortilla chips, cheese, onions.) Discovered the mulch was ready. Mixed with coconut peat and perlite. Mulched the plants. Turned the compost bins. Came back inside. Poked at recipes for fermented green onions -- I have too many. Also maybe fermented winter squash, ditto. Managed to dump tea on the brand new keyboard. I'm fired. -facepalm- Hoping it will dry okay. Set up sourdough waffles for tomorrow morning. Whew. Time to rest now, maybe?
I can haz plants. Stopped off at the nursery and got some more blueberries, tomatoes, peppers, and a lemon cucumber. We're going to have more blueberries than we can stand. He says he'll eat them all. We shall see. Worst comes to worst, I have a dehydrator. Pix once we have things in and planted. We will still have quite a bit of room when we do, I think.
