The beatitudes taught by Jesus in the sermon on the mount conform an ordering principle, because this principle orders human behavior, beatitude is the foundation of ethics When we are uplifting, assertive, progressive, benevolent we receive awards, blessings: "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man" Luke 6:20-22. Instead when we follow the path of the false beatitude, that is, we are unjust, chaotic, destructive, involutive we receive curses or punishments: "But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort. Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets" Luke 6:24-26.
Jesus warns us that the love for money is a bad counselor, because is a selfish love and it does not give us the breadth of vision for a better evaluation of the problems, this love constitutes the false beatitude: "But woe to you who are rich” remembers to us Jesus. The path of misfortune is a path of appearances, the search for the false goods, such as money, sex, fame, sooner or later bring us a great evil. Happiness if we follow this path is reduced to simple passing moments. When we sin, when we practice the error, our neighbor does not matter and as a consequence we reap the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:21-23), and this is a logical result because the apparent goods are scarce and object of disputes between men: "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs" 1 Timothy 6:10.
