So does narrator ever get too overwhelmed by Stanley’s touch( like hand holding ) to the point he goes into another form?
Sometimes! It’s still new to him, so while he has learned to enjoy it, sometimes it’s too much, or he’s not in the mood. He’s less inclined to be human-sized then; being big feels safer. He doesn’t fully change form when that happens, but he can loose shape a bit. His silhouette jitters and glitches, his grimace stretches a little too far, maybe there’s too many teeth, etc. It’s a little reminder to Stanley that what he sees is a projection & is subject to change
