Answer the questions the person who tagged you asked and write eleven new ones.
Tag eleven new people and link them to the post.
Let them know you have tagged them.
1) What are your fandoms?
Oh heck there are so many, so I'll list a few but I'll probably miss some out: Harry Potter, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Supernatural, Merlin, Game of Thrones, Cabin Pressure, LotR/Hobbit/Tolkien, Avengers/Marvel, Nerdfighteria, Hunger Games. And does being a Hiddlestoner and a member of the Cumbercollective count? Because those too.
2) What’s your favourite way to spend a free day? (RHYME!)
I like to read a good book, or go outside and take a look, at the wonderful country views, or catch up on fandom news. I like to sleep in late, and if I could I'd learn to ice-skate. I like listening to music too, or maybe sniffing glue. That last one was a bad joke, I'll stop rhyming now before I croak. [Okay seriously, I had to use rhymezone.com to write that]
3) What are you studying in school?/ What do you do as a job?
I'm currently taking a gap year before starting university, so at the moment I'm not studying anything. I will be going to study animal science at university in September, but until then, all I'm learning is how to take care of unusual animals. As for a job, I'm not a vet yet, but that's what I'd most like to be
4) Have you recently started watching/reading/doing anything new?
Does working in an irish pet farm/feeding emus/rhea/gerbils/lambs/calves/chicks/other exotic animals? Because yes, I have. As for watching new stuff, nope. But I have started reading The Great Gatsby recently.
5) Favourite music?
Genre or band? In general my favourite is rock/metal, but I also like classical, and I'm pretty tolerant of everything. There's very little I don't like/cant appreciate. Even if I don't like the style, I can normally acknowledge if the singer is good or if the group has talent etc.
6) What are your religious views?
Okay, I actually like this question, mainly because I don't think I've ever outright outlined my views. Personally, I don't believe in God, but I do think there might be a higher power at work in the universe. That said, I believe evolution is a scientific fact, but there's nothing to say that God, or any other power/deity didn't cause evolution or put it into motion. Sometimes, if I'm particularly upset or worried, I will pray even though I don't totally believe, because I figure it's not going to do any harm. If He does exist, great, if He doesn't, then so be it. I actually reblogged a photoset today of Stephen Fry quoting Bertram Russell, and I couldn't agree more with that quote. I don't have to know whether God exists, in order to not believe in him or not be a Christian.
With all of that in mind, I do not mind if you are a Christian, or if you are a member of another religion, or if you don't believe in a God at all. Your religious views do not shape my view of you as a person. If you believe in God, that's absolutely fine, and you are entitled to your own beliefs, whether they match up with mine or not. That said, please do not try and force your beliefs on me. I don't mind you saying you'll pray for me, or pray that certain things happen, because that might just be how you deal with things and that is okay. But the second you start trying to change my mind, or influence my beliefs, then I can get annoyed. Also telling me things like "You're wrong","I don't know how you can't believe in Him, when it's so obvious He exists","You'll go to hell" etc will piss me off very easily. I can appreciate both sides of the argument for religion, and I respect whichever side you are on, or if you are on neither, that's great too. The only thing I don't like about religion, is the number of wars and conflicts caused by it, and the number of people causing harm to others and claiming they are doing it in God's name. In my view, if God wants you to kill someone, then He is not a God worth believing in.
7) Anything ( books, film, events ect) coming up soon that you’re excited about?
Umm, at the pet farm we're having a barbecue for customers tomorrow so that should be fun (although that'll probably mean we might not get the food). Other than that, I'm looking forward to going to a fair day we have coming up in a couple of weeks, and I'm also looking forward to going back home (not because I don't like it here, but because I miss it, and I miss not having to get up every morning at 7-8am)
8) Would you say you’re an introvert or an extrovert?
Most definitely an introvert. I need time by myself, or at the very least, time that I can spend not talking to others. I don't mind sitting in silence with people, as long as I feel comfortable and don't feel pressured to talk to them all the time. I am getting better at meeting new people and talking to them, but that's mostly out of necessity. On the other hand, I wouldn't say that I don't like it and wouldn't do it if I didn't have to (so many double negatives there). But yeah, I am most definitely and introvert.
9) What’s your favourite thing about yourself? ( we should all try to think of this more often)
I agree we should all thing of this more often. Umm, I'd probably say my open-minded-ness. I do my best not to judge people, especially before I know them. I can normally consider both sides to an argument, regardless of my personal views. So yeah, that's something I like about myself, even though I still need to work on it a bit.
10) Do you play any video games? Which ones?
I do, and I have a few different consoles. On the Wii I like games like Mario Galaxy, Skyward Sword, Mario Kart etc and also Resident Evil. On the PS3 I play games like War in the North, Skyrim, Resident Evil, Spyro, Tomb Raider. On Gamecube, I play Super Mario Sunshine, Spyro and a lot of others that I've forgotten about because it's been ages since I played them. I also have a Gameboy and a DS (which I use to play the gameboy games because I lost my charger) and I play some games like Sims on the computer (and I might start Fable and Assassins creed when I get back). The main ones I play are Spyro (although they've pretty much stopped that now) Mario (although I haven't played on a lot of the more classic games) and The Legend of Zelda (same again for the classic games).
11) Are there any blogs that you wished you were friends with? Who?
Yeah, quite a few. I just see the small circles of friends on my dash and I wish I could be part of them, but they're popular fandom blogs and I contribute nothing to fandom so I wouldn't fit in. There are also a few popular blogs that follow me that I don't talk to, and I'd love to get to know them because I think they're awesome. I don't want to name any particular blogs because if they see this, it might make them feel creeped out or uncomfortable. Instead I'll leave it vague and allow them to speculate over whether I mean them.
In all seriousness though, I'd love to be friends with all my followers because I'm sure they're wonderful people, and it'd be great to get to know them all.
Now's meant to be the part where I come up with my own questions, but I can't think of any at all, and these are actually really really wonderful ones, so go answer these.
And instead of tagging 11 people, I'll tag 5. But if any of my followers who I don't tag want to answer these, feel free to do so, and tag me in your answers so I can see them (or just send me them in a fanmail because that'd be awesome too)
