Rock On Philly’s Your Perfect Weekend

This is a big weekend for the music scene here in Philadelphia. Groups like Pentatonix, Childish Gambino, and Rob Delany are all making appearances at major Philadelphia venues like the Electric Factory and the Trocadero. Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival organisers have released another sound bite of artists confirmed to be playing at this year’s event.

So yeah I stayed up  till 2am hoping to see some meteor showerings, but there was none or whatever. I still smell like a campfire, and I got a couple of minor burns while showing off my stick spinning skills with a stick that had burning coals at either end (this actually happened). 

Oh well.

Soulful new Rhythm & Blues album by The James Hunter Six, who I was fortunate enough to hear a few days ago on the World Cafe. Needless to say, It's not easy to find new albums today with this kind of rich old-school sound.
