Wakongo River - A futuristic peaceful African city carved by the people
My name is Jeryce Dianingana, 25 years old 3D environment Artist raised by Congolese parent in France.
One day I Asked myself, What can be the next step of African Subsharan civilization in the future without forgetting the fundamental things that made Africa culture unique?
I just wanted to imagine a different version of the what happens in the past, without slaves, without violence and war, a childish utopian dream. I think many people once dream about this. What if Africa with all his resources was the most powerful and at the same time the most peaceful continent on Earth.
This is a country dedicated to the people and their culture, a little bit like a big museum city which gathers and worships art from all the country in Africa.
I tried to reflect this with the warming color of the sunset that you see a lot when you imagine a landscape in Africa. I wanted the viewer to feel amazed by the enormous and clean structureS, to be inspired by the culture sign like the Mask and the Adinkra symbols on it which have a different meaning related to the mantra of the city. From left to right the symbols means Change, Determination, and God.
