Garrett Richards: The man replacing Jered Weaver
With Jered Weaver out likely 4-6 weeks with a broken left elbow, the Angels will turn to 24 year old Garrett Richards to fill the gap.
Richards was a closer in college at Oklahoma, but was turned into a starter during the 2008 Cape League Season.
Richards, a former 1st round pick has pitched in the the Major League the past two seasons and has shown enough in that time to earn the trust of the Angels' front office.
Someone has to replace Weaver, and we like Richards...he fits most of the bum criteria, and should fill in just fine until "Moneybags" Weaver is back.
