We’ve got some images from the rehearsal studio showing off a bit of the choreography through some stills! Some of the implications are fascinating

We’ve got some MisaMisa! (Seems to be I’m ready/we all need a hero assuming that is her song now)

This one interests me, we’ve got Ryuk in the foreground but JERASU in the back looking at all the people, including light

Misa with her wrists tied town and Rem looking at L, imo this could be the scene where Rem realises what she will have to do to save misa

And some Light in what I assume is Where is the Justice! It would be super cool if they gave light a school notebook that looked like the death note lmao

(I also think the second image could maybe be hurricane, but probably more likely witj)

This song is so fun and love the elements they added with Jerasu!

I wonder if 'Jerasu' is 'Jealous'. It would be the first time seeing it in the musical.

Because this really reminds me of something Chloe Saracco (jerasu) said in an interview a while ago, about how for both jerasu and soichiro ‘love blinds them to what they might have otherwise seen’

And just applying this line to soichiro in the same way makes me sooo sad :(. He can’t comprehend what his son is doing, nor how. Magic notebooks and shinigami are inconceivable, much the same as his son doing what Kira does is inconceivable. Love is what blinds him, what puts an end to his investigation, like in honourbound ‘if what I’m seeing bends as light refracts, am I blinded to what my son lacks?’ (‘If these eyes are blinded by love’ in the Japanese version)

And even outside of the application to other characters just the line itself is so good. Rem thinks jerasu is the one who doesn’t fully understand what she’s doing (and in a way she doesn’t, none of them know that this will kill them, just that’s it’s forbidden), and rem is certain that love isn’t worth whatever the punishment is. But truly it’s Rem who didn’t fully understand love, and once she does, once she herself fully comprends it she makes the exact same choice
