The holidays are a quiet affair for Jeonsu. It's not that he doesn't like the holidays--in point of fact, he very much does--it's just that those he'd have celebrated with are a little... scattered to the winds, at the present.
So he opts instead to spend his 12ths in quiet contemplation, tending to his annual shrine of saplings he dedicates to his loved ones, departed or just absent, in the new sweep.
For now he'll sit with them and speak to them, tell them stories of home, places the soil is tended so well, the plants dance and sing, after a fashion. He'll have another cocoa, or maybe one more if he gets caught up with his stories, and head to bed soon after.

"Aw, aren't you just sweet. Thank you."

"I grow a bit of everything, but I've cultivated a lot of different kinds of ferns and vining plants in my time."
> He tilts his head and taps his chin, leaving more smudges of dirt on his face.
"There's lots of things that don't grow in Alternian soil. The sun just doesn't agree with them. I used to have a couple sprouts from other planets that didn't take. I kept the seeds though. I'm trying to optimize greenhouse conditions for them, but i just don't think I'm gonna get it right."
> He sighs deeply.
"Which is sad. I'd love to have a piece of home around."

"Hi, hello! Another visitor!"
> He makes to set his plants aside and grabs a towel to wipe dirt off his hands, before setting it back on the counter.
"Yes, I am a gardener! I have a cute little garden shop and everything."
> He smiles and gestures to the shop you're standing in, before giving you a very serious look.
"That's not true though, I'm actually a botanist, gardening is just a hobby I happen to make money on. But the two go hand in hand."
> He taps the side of his nose, leaving a smudge.
"I was a fleet exploration scientist once. That's where most of my formal training went to. I'm retired now."

> A deep frown settles across his face, his eyebrows pulling together and creasing his forehead.
"I had to. We all did."
> He looks down at his hands, rubbing his fingers together and feeling soil there.
"Too many people--children--died to... We couldn't stay. It was our fault that it happened at all."
