there’s warm laughter between them.     even as she’s trying to nurse his wounds ,   he’s mussing her hair gently ,    fond   look in his eyes ,    a softness that’s been hard to muster since his arrival here.     jenny is the   only    thing that makes anything feel . . .     normal .      good.      his wounds will have healed   on their own   by the time she’s bandaged them.      jenny’s no healer ,    but he can’t say   no   to her insistence.
