“They asked you what?” Ben asks as he ties his shoes. His tone isn’t angry or anxious, but humored. “You know what I do. I manage and analyze a portfolio for high-earning corporate funds.”
Jenna sighs, closing her eyes as if to steady herself. “I know,” she says after a moment. “It was a bizarre conversation with your siblings. It made me uneasy and I think we should talk about it.”
He shakes his head with a laugh. “I’m going to go for a run and then I’ll make you breakfast. Let this go.”
“Don’t you think it’s odd they cornered me like that?”
“Yes, definitely.” Ben shakes his head again, dismissing their behavior, and places a hand on her crossed arms. “How about after I return from Oasis Springs, we plan our own trip together? No business - it’s boring anyway. Just you and me.”

“You, too, Adam.” She smiles faintly, remembering their last awkward conversation.
He looks over her shoulder. “Who’s this?”
