The Anatomy of Viking Art: Timeline
Learn more about the Viking art styles
I've wanted a tattoo forever, and decided I wanted a coelacanth a while ago, but had no idea how I wanted it to look. Lately I've been looking at various Viking styles, and was inspired! I really like the Jelling and Ringerike styles, and wanted to try designing a coelacanth in one of those styles! Just trying to understand the styles for now, I might do something completely different later! Needs more crazy knots.... #sketchbook #tattoodesign #coelacanth #viking #jellingstyle #ringerikestyle

The completed tunic! This tunic was block printed many years ago and in it's first wash a lot of the print came off. So I ripped it apart, printed the inside and redid it. There is still hints of the original paint that leaked thru the layers. Inside is serged, hems are hand stitched. House paint and acrylic on linen. Stamp design by JLM and cut out by me. 6/30 #MiaofCalontir #MySca #15forSCA #BlockPrinting #JellingStyle #Norse https://www.instagram.com/p/CKwr0GqHBI8/?igshid=vrydz03m0gy
