Another day, another adventure.
Todays trip is JeJu Island!!
Jeju is Korea’s largest island and it is BEAUTIFUL. I only spent 2 days here but I could have spent so much longer.
There are so much to do on the island and unfortunately we did not get a chance to experience it all. Here are some things we did do:
- sunrise peak (Seongsan Ilchubong)
-Loveland
- Jeongbang waterfall
These were on the top of my to do list and two days was more than enough time to accomplish them. If going to jeju, it would be a shame not to experience these.
Sunrise peak is a gigantic crater that was formed by volcanic eruptions. It’s about a 20 minute hike but the view from the top is breathtaking.
Loveland was...interesting. Koreans use sexuality in art, a lot. There’s not much to say about Loveland. There’s a lot of vagina and penis statues so, yeah, check that out.
Jeongbang waterwall was gorgeous. I LOVE waterfalls so coming here was a must. Its supposedly the only waterfall in korea where, a freshwater waterfall, falls directly into the ocean. It is very picturesque and a must see!
How to get to Jeju:
By airplane is the most convenient. You can catch a flight from Gimpo airport to jeju. From the airport you can pretty much catch a cab to anywhere on the island.
By ferry. You can catch a ferry boat from Busan. The price on average is about W100,000 and the ride takes about 30 minutes.
