#jefferey deaver

                                This was one of the very first books I read by Jefferey Deaver, I've always been a huge fan of Linwood Barclay and James Patterson and when I find an author I like I stick by them and find it hard to adjust to a new author. Deavers style is more descriptive and detailed than other thriller authors I've read. Deaver enjoys creating characters with physiological depth and 'The Broken Window' is no exception. A killer is on the loose and its up to Lincoln Rhyme and his partner Amelia Sachs to face the ingenious criminal who stages horrendous murders on the less expecting. When his estranged cousin, Arthur is arrested on suspicion of murder, Lincoln is determined to bring down the killer although all the evidence paints a guilty picture for Arthur.  Not only is this a brilliant novel, its educational and relate-able. Deaver brings you into the world of data mining and teaches you just how easy is to become a victim.   One of the things I enjoyed most about this book is how Deaver switches the narrator between chapters of the book, you get to read parts of the story from the killers point of view, without it revealing who he is. As they find it harder and harder to trap the killer and prove his vics not guilty, They soon realize the killer has their information to and can make them appear guilty of anything he wants to. This book is very gripping and is a real page turner. The final thing I enjoyed is how you get a little bit of history surrounding Amelia, Lincoln and Pam. It's nice to see their profiles progress throughout the series.
