Jeff’s Column is the new section on our site, it will be maintained directly by me, Jeff Adlerhorst, and here I will provide more rapid and brief responce on major world’s events and conflicts than could be given in the full-scale research article. And personal opinion of course.

My first post here is about NATO and its eastern border. We all see now that war in the Ukraine gave new impuls to NATO member states, they dropped the inadequate policy of reduction of armaments and at first time since the end of the Cold War European defence is strengthening. The reason is simple – European politicians suddenly opened their eyes and recognised the enemy. Russia, eastern empire aspiring to conquest independent Ukraine – that was the sight.

We must however look deeper and if we do it – we’ll see not only the conflict of two states but the New Red Dawn. Russia right now is going to reestablish step by step the Soviet “Evil Empire”, regain control over all states that were in Communist sphere of influence in the Cold War. Ukraine is not the first step – there was Transnistria, there was Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Ichkeria, there is Eurasian Union centered in Moscow and controlled only from the Kremlin.

Russians want new Cold War – there is no doubt. Their population is highly indoctrinated by Neo-Communist rhetoric of the government with the total propaganda of Russian supremacy over all other nations, especially Western. Opposing to things we could see in US or Germany, in Russia there is no protest against growing militarisation, hatred and decreace of social funds in favor of the army. Instead, all these actions have deep support in the Russian society due to its predisposition to dictatorial type of government, to very simple living without basic comfort and to brutal, maybe even feral way of solving conflicts. Together these factors may – and no doubt will – lead to the long-term struggle between Western and Eastern civilizations in the Eastern Europe. There are no easy or popular ways to finish the war in the Ukraine so Western leaders must prepare their nations to the New Cold War that Russia had already declared to us. Neo-Communist advance under the bannrs of Eurasianism – this is the major threat to European Christin civilization and not ISIS, Iran or even China. We can call in “Red Dawn” as the goals and principles of Russia changed little since Communist times – they still see the only way to be successful not in improving their country, economy and quality of living but in crushing neighbours, burning their cities and plundering their stocks.

Fortunately, NATO and its Secretary General itself can clearly see it and are acting just as it required – new NATO’s Readiness Action Plan is significantly improving readiness, quantity and batle capability of the Alliance’s military units, and it also establishes whole new branch – six “NATO Force Integration Units” on the  Russian border and on Black sea for visible NATO prescence in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Bulgaria. This is not the Iron Curtain – this is Iron Fist to crush the curtain and destroy any Neo-Communist encroachments towards Western lands. And every patriot of the United States, or of any European nd Western country should support this fist by all means.

This is not the matter of politics – this is the matter of survival.
