Personal blogging just got a huge kick up the ‘arris Ghost, by +John O’Nolan, looks to be moving the goalposts for personal blogging according to this article by +Mashable. The article itself is a bit ‘I told you so’ and more about the funding and business aspect of the #ghost  project; a better overview of the product itself is on the kickstarter site: http://kck.st/ZnjHo9 In essence, it’s split screen #blogging , with your draft in the left and a live preview on the right as you type; it looks pretty awesome. It runs off Javascript and all of the usual HTML tags have been replaced by short codes. These auto-populate aspects like word formatting (bold, italic, headings, etc.) and even allow you to create a space for an image to return to once you’ve finished your draft. All of these have been built around John’s thought process as a writer rather than a developer, although he’s pretty good in both disciplines, to be fair. The ultimate aim is to save you the author from breaking your natural rhythm when in full flow. Will it be the answer to business blogging? For those of us whose business is copywriting based on a webmasters suggested content/keyword template, I’d rather have the split screen with the original content on the right. This would replace the live preview with the original article (snipped from Evernote Clearly would be amazing), yet retain the ability to Ghost type your article adapted to the webmaster’s theme/audience/instruction in the left split. Hi, everyone. . Thanks for having me here; greatly appreciated. I'd like your help, if I could pick your brains for a minute? Last week, I began an e-zine as I got quite a positive response from the G+ crowd for the summaries of the best posts of the day from the stream I was putting together. I named the e-zine the Jeeplush Daily Digest. Don't ask. As I've been getting through the first week, it's dawned on me that I've been persuaded by public interest away from what I came onto G+ for.  Namely help self-employed, freelancers and contractors maximise their brand and presence online. So I'm going to rebrand the e-zine and the accompanying blog and this is where you come in. The hook for the paper is collating all of the marketing articles, social media, search engine optimisation and even monetisation of blog articles on G+ and putting them across in a way that entrepreneurs can find them of great value to their own endeavours. It's what I've done for the last 18 months, but I'm now pretty much up to capacity so it's as much for past clients as it is for the new audience I hope will begin to read it. The articles will come via the curation of existing relevant content on G+, in the stream and in communities, as well as aticles I produce on my own blogs. But what shall I call it? I've spoken to an SEO and he's come up with: Freelancer Plus. But that doesn't tell the whole story for me. However, this “gushing” overview of our host following I/O 2013 by +GENE MARKS sums up just how integral Google will become to #startup , #freelance  and #smallbusiness  enterprises this year alone.
