❛     i  think  everyone  has  flaws,     ❜  she  begins,  as  though  it’s  something  she’s  thought  about  often  (  she  has,  but  for  herself.  her  conclusion  ?  she’s  perfect  ).  dark  gaze  flickers  over  to  tahiri,  a  frown  creasing  the  in-between  of  her  brow.    ❛     &  i  think  some  people  do  bad  things.  that  doesn’t  make  them  bad  people.     ❜  she’s  done  bad  things  herself  ---  objectively  &  subjectively.

“Who said we would stop fighting?” He asks rhetorically.  His jaw is set and grim, but his gaze that he turns to his student is tender and bittersweet.  He would have far preferred that none of him, none of his students, ever had to face war.  He had lived it enough of it to last him six lifetimes; and would never have wished it on those he trained and cared for.

But they were Jedi -- Knights and Masters.  And while Luke had always tried to instill in them a peaceful and tempered ethos, Jedi carried lightsabers for a reason.  They were not weaponless philosophers, never setting foot outside the Temple. 

They were, every one of them, warriors in their own right -- even those who chose not to participate in violence still knew what it was to fight.   And they would, as a collective, stand against the dark; against injustice and corruption.
