The Chris Gethard Show’s 37th episode is a Q&A/best-of/clip show that acts as a primer for new viewers. TCGS has been on public access TV for only the last 38 weeks but it has already led to Gethard appeared on Jimmy Fallon and Conan, and Tina Fey (albeit in a video message). The show is post-SNL, punk-rock, and firmly DIY. As well as host Chris Gethard the show features rotating panelists with start-up and improv chops, as well as “The Human Fish,” Vacation Jason (a vacation expert), Rob Malone (The World’s Greatest Dancer), and poet Chris Jackson, who often steals the show. While self-destructive, self-deprecating, anxious, and fearful, each week it obliterates such feelings through positivity, unexpected fun bits, and who-knows-what’ll-happen improvized surprises.
