Dollar Brand and the South African bandstand. | The Jazz Epistles, is a group that chronicles the short-lived, but greatest South African bepop group of all time. The group included Hugh Masekela on trumpet, Kippie Moeketsi on alto saxophone, Jonas Gwangwa on trombone, bassist Johnny Gertze, drummer Makaya Ntshoko and Abdullah Ibrahim on piano.
