Me having the skill to write was a mistake.
I’m such a disaster at it. I don’t do drafts, whatever I post is the first draft. I don’t plan out long fics, I make crap up as I go. I can write 1,000 words in about an hour but I can’t tell you how. Words just show up in my brain idk man.

Idk how to explain how I feel when a fandom focuses on romance when the actual media is focused on family/friends without using extremes.
Let’s say Princess and the Frog, this gorgeous movie lots of Louisiana culture tied in. Then the fandom goes and makes every fic and fan art in Antartica.
While yes you can do it free will and all, but only by fundamentally changing the story. Then it’s impossible to find anything with the Louisiana culture because “the fandom prefers it this way”. It’s not the same anymore though! It could be a great AU but please for the love of everything where are the cannon fans? Jokes on you there are none, shame on you for not thinking Princess and the Frog works better in Antartica, you’re weird for not accepting that AU. Do you hate penguins? You must because you don’t like the popular fandom AU. Stupid global warming fan. Princess and the Frog is set in Antartica and you have to accept that because most of the fandom accepts it as cannon and will call it cannon in every post.
You get it now? It’s infuriating. Once again, free will, but stop calling it cannon and please appreciate non-romantic relationships. Without shoving romance into it.

I will never not be infuriated by that stupid social rule of when someone is telling a story and you are just supposed to be like mhm, yeah, oh no, that’s great. Like what?? That’s boring?? I’m not talking to you at that point I do that when I want the conversation to end. So I keep seeing the whole “person A and person B are always together in every scene it must be love.” No my guy, it’s called having to pay less actors. They get paid for how long their face is shown for background work, so why not put the background characters with names always at the front. They are getting paid the most already because they may have a line or two. It saves the studio money to always have them at the front.
I’m not stopping you from making your ship. I’m just saying it’s business not because of any implications they are trying to make
