The potential of Damian and Jason relationship while both are hidden within the League of Assassins is intertwined with Jay and Talia raising Damian together. Talia cared for Jason in the first few days after his resurrection, offering him comfort when he felt Bruce and Dick had completely forgotten him. Talia has done so much for Jason, making him feel loved and easing his insecurities, telling him she trusts him and training him. It's only natural that Jason helps Talia when he finds her wearily rocking a crying baby Damian. He takes the baby in his arms and helps Talia sit up, asking her to go to sleep. When Talia refuses to leave the same room as Damian, Jason takes them both to Talia's room, rocks Damian until he falls asleep, and asks him to wake Damian up to feed him if she falls asleep. Jason finally lays Damian down next to his mother, watching them both sleep, and for the first time allows himself to smile, realizing that he will do anything to protect his new family.
