The utter infatuation and fascination in his eyes is overwhelming. When he's looked at Jay-Den with yearning before, it was in a playful way, or a desirous way, or a longing way, or a jealous way. But this. This feels like adoration in a fashion that we simply haven't seen before. He's captivated by everything that Jay-Den is. He's enchanted at and honored by the invitation to be a part of Jay-Den's family. And I think he deeply respects Jay-Den and Jay-Den's culture too.

Behold, the singular, low definition Jay-Rem crumb in episode 10. Let there be rejoicing throughout the fandom.

Episode 1:

Playfulness. Desire. A clear urge to convince Jay-Den to be aggressive with him.

Episode 4:

Very similar vibes. Only difference is that in episode 4, Darem had just succeeded at provoking Jay-Den. True, Jay-Den didn't physically harm him, but he did yell at Darem and insult him, something Darem clearly got a kick out of.

But then, later in each episode, Darem tried to make Jay-Den feel safe and strong.

Episode 1:

He's trying to convince Jay-Den that he's competent and up to the task of saving Lura's life. There's no playfulness here. No provocation. Darem shows from the start that when shit gets real, and Jay-Den needs support, Darem will be there to give it.

Same thing in episode 4:

He's telling Jay-Den that he can use his voice to make a difference. There's a bit more intensity here, and he isn't giving an encouraging smile(mainly because Jay-Den isn't looking at him), but again, the vibe is very similar. Jay-Den needs support. He needs to know that he can succeed in what he's trying to do, and for all that Darem likes to tease and provoke him, Darem will be there to support him when he needs it.
