this probably won't be coherent bc it's literally 1am but basically. i rewatched ii again for the first time since probably the dvd release a few days ago, then tonight watched the original director's commentary then today's react (both for the first time i believe) back to back and i just. i'm so emotional abt them. interactive introverts really WAS such a goodbye tour. like. here is everything. we are going to do all of the things with more effort than we can/should reasonably give.

the song is goofy and fake improvised but the vibes of the chorus (as it were) really is just so emotional. fuck. like even just comparing the melody of the piano with the final numbers from tatinof (campy jazz <3) and tit (rave time rave time rave time) it's like. a bit melancholic purely for the fact that it is quite literally just. them. there is no backing track on the speakers. it's dan and phil just singing along to dan's piano :cc [sidenote they mention in the director's commentary that they've "never had any formal singing training" ((yes obviously lads but ty <3)) and kind of waffle around having considered it ((i imagine since ofc dan had piano lessons as prep to be able to LITERALLY ACTUALLY PLAY THE SONG LIVE ON STAGE)) but they decided ultimately that it was better if it was just them :ccc FUCKK]
