Dearest Jensen Ackles, you absolutely do not deserve any of the hatred coming your way. You donāt deserve any hate for having a mind of your own, for having an opinion of your own, for having a perspective of your own, for believing in what you think is right, for believing in what you believe in, for voicing your opinions or thoughts especially when youāre prompted to, for having a set of beliefs or preferences of your own, for having understood a character you have been playing for over 10 years on a show you have been working on for so long, for stating what you think about your show or basically, for just being yourself. You just said what you said about a fictional relationship within the context of a show youāre working on. General opinion or not, you deserve for no hatred for it. You were respected and loved and you still are.Ā
Just as each one of us is entitled to our own opinion, just as each one of us can have a mind of our own, just as each one of us can have preferences of our own, just as weāre free to make the choices that we do, just as we reserve the right to be ourselves, so does Jensen. Jensenās opinion or thoughts doesnāt negate yours and your opinion and thoughts doesnāt negate his. What he believes in doesnāt invalidate your beliefs and what you believe in doesnāt invalidate his beliefs, whether itās about a character or a show, or an issue or anything in general. When we demand respect and freedom to be ourselves, we ought to give the same respect and freedom to everyone else. Hate is not the answer, toxicity isnāt right way to express ourselves, please letās just be kind to each other and not spread hate of any kind. Anywhere, to anyone.
