Contrary to popular belief, Reina isn’t the worst mother to walk the planet. Sure, she’s been particularly neglectful of her children lately, but it’d be hard for her to completely abandon her youngest even while she’s on her blatant power trip. The boys can usually find a way home — or to Otto’s home, since they refuse to actually consider that their home — whether it be on the bus or riding their bikes, but Iris is far too much of a brat for that and Reina is still very much whipped for her daughter despite her distractions. So like clockwork she finds herself at after school pick up on the days she’s put her new housekeeper to work doing something more important, waiting patiently while school finishes up. Well — maybe not patiently. She’s got half a mind to storm inside the building and see what’s taking so fucking long for them to just let the kids leave, despite the fact that she’s about ten minutes early and this is how it always is. Causing a scene in front of the other moms when she’s in the throes of her PTA campaign wouldn’t exactly be smart, though, so she controls herself and finds Javier in the crowd of parents instead. At least talking to him doesn’t make her want to blow her brains out. “You’d think they’d let the kids go at least a little early when they know people are waiting,” she says through gritted teeth as she approaches the man, her irritation obvious even as she flashes a fake smile to a woman she absolutely would not be smiling at under normal circumstances. “I cannot fucking wait until I don’t have to be nice to these people anymore.”
