Since it's still gonna be a bit til I get the next page for SUR out, how about some random facts on Andesine that no one asked for. But I was kinda nerding out about her in my discord server so thought I'd share some of my ideas for the fusion between Jasper and Spinel and why I chose to name them after this stone in particular, as well as some real world facts about the stone itself

Andesine is a plagioclase feldspar with a composition between that of oligoclase and labradorite.. Its bold colors and warm energy are believed to make andesine a stress-relieving, grounding stone that melts your worries away.

*Kinda fits 2 certain gems we all know and love in the SU fandom eh? Since I'm pretty sure it's sorta implied Jasper and Spinel hate themselves, or at least blame themselves for not realizing Pinks' plan when she abandoned them in the garden (Spinel) or when she was planning to fake her own shattering (Jasper)

Also being left behind, even though both are the most perfect of gems, that a Gem could be. And even then they weren't good enough for Pink to wanna keep them around etc.

*I've always wanted to write a fusion that's meant to sorta be an in-between of Malachite (the physical manifestation of what a toxic relationship would look like as a character)

And Garnet (The Physical manifestation of what a healthy, loving relationship looks like)

And, yeah. That's basically what Andesine is supposed to be like. Because I feel like both Jasper and Spinel have the ability to heal from their trauma, and maybe even help each other find more healthier ways to deal with the pain, and confide in one another etc. (But also I feel like, especially in Jaspers case, both are way too stubborn to actually do it. At least for a very long time tbh) but- yeah.

Both are in the wrong for this tbh, but the Diamonds are just scared of losing Spinel the same way they lost Pink. They're trying to be good people but sometimes their old selves just slip out on accident.

For what Blue is saying by the way cuz yes that font was on purpose to show her voice breaking and how she's crying so hard she can barely get her words out: "Stop fighting already! Both of you! Our precious Spinel is still out there, sad and all alone right now! What if she's in danger?! But instead of using our energy to try and find her you two are bickering like small children!!"
