What would be the ‘incorrect but wildly popular’ interpretation of your character in fandom? For Jasper
I could see a couple
One) he's stuffy/stuck up/privileged.
Two) he hates his brother because he wishes he could have run away like him.
What the fuck is up with Jasper having the purest heart but the hardest pain to bear? 🥲
The thing is, Jasper isn't a perfect pure person with the purest heart. He tries his hardest to do what is best but he fucks up. He says the wrong things sometimes and can get angry if he's pushed too much on a bad day. He's sarcastic and can be mean if he dislikes someone a lot. What makes him seem perfect though perhaps is how logical he tends to be. He likes to go into things with logic first not emotions if he can. It also helps he's very introverted and doesn't constantly talk to everyone, and when he does like when his mom was in the hospital he is more prone to snapping which leads him to feeling guilty. Why does he get put through the hardest pain? Uhh no reason. Definitely not at all me inserting a lot of my own pain onto a fictional character I would never do that.

Jasper
I think there are two main things people think when they don't know, but rather know of Jasper. One of which is that he has it all together and he's a perfect boy, which is literally where almost every thread of his anxiety and pressure comes from which feels suffocating and like death. The second is that he's pretentious and thinks he's better than everyone else, which isn't true at all. This boy is depressed and anxious all the time he does not think he is better than anyone.
