I like to imagine that Fresh is a really decent guy. Like, yeah, he possesses people and SOMETIMES if he doesn't like someone or is bored/curious, might..... Do a bad.
But that's a rarity.
And he literally has no choice in terms of possessing people, because he HAS to feed on their soul to survive. So what's a guy to do yaknow???
Aside from that, I like to imagine he's p chill. A babey, a bean if you will. An innocent curiosity and desire to learn about the worlds around him, and genuine want to make friends just for the sake of having people to spend time with, even though he doesn't have emotions. He can still like the friends of course, like how he likes fruit loops and furbies.
Like. Chaotic Neutral or Neutral Evil at best. Dude isn't trying to inflict pain because he enjoys it, all the time. Just. Sometimes.
