That new episode of One Piece... man big round of applause to the animators and crew and cast behind everything! It was such an absolute joy to watch from start to finish! My mouth was open like 95% of time and I was laughing so hard at some points. What a great time to be alive as an OP fan.
The absolute MVP goes to Tanaka Mayumi for her genius embodiment of Gear 5!!! Luffy's laughter was so contagious—she did such an amazing job with it 🥰
There were so many panels from the manga that I remember were literal peak Looney Tunes that the animators so brilliantly portrayed in this episode... with the most appropriate sound effects!!! Ugh, the whole 20 minutes of it was just spectacular. I cannot wait for the later episodes as we see the rest of the fight play out!!!

Honestly I’m always a sucker for friends to lovers ESPECIALLY if we get some good mutual pining thrown in there too, but enemies to friends is also such a good trope!
