Dysfunctional. Extremely dysfunctional. Look, they have their moments where they genuinely can get along and can get past their differences but there's no way your putting these four (Riddler, Music Meister, Scarecrow, and Mad Hatter) into a room together and expect everything to be okay. Jona has done infinite amounts of intrusive research on the rest of them to understand their deepest fears and send them into some form of shock at the LEAST to disarm them or just to completely ruin their lives one day. Janice doesn’t care, Music Meister doesn’t seem to care, and Edward keeps her at canes distance to ensure they don’t just stab him with a needle one day. Music Meister is a power hungry mess of a man who fears rejection at every waking moment and if he doesn’t get what he wants, it practicality sends him into a FIT which makes him go to the nearest theater and stop everything of what THEY'RE DOING to make himself feel better because he can just. DO that. Janice is friends with the OTHER TWO ABOVE. Janice is absolutely bonkers with the fact that she ALSO wants Gotham to be under her rules and kept in check that the way that she wants to be. She has the tendency to just bring in stuff that's poisoned or not and its always a guess on if it is or not. Shes hard to piss off but you can tell under those piercing blue eyes she wants to paint the town red. And Edward?... Hes the middleman keeping these three under control. Hes just trying his best. Hes tired, hes been doing this shit for 20 years, maybe more. Hes a tired guy just trying to do whats best for himself while still trying to keep the peace. Even if he doesn’t keep the peace all the time. Jona, Janice, and MM are like the besties of the group that want to explode like 15 buildings at once in this grand collaborative scheme, but Edwards the guy that can probably figure out how to do it in the best way possible. Does that make sense?
