I just wanted to express my gratitude for all the beautiful gifs you've made with the Kenobi content we've been given. Thanks for bringing so much joy to the Fandom with your creations. â¤
đđđ this is such a nice message thank you so much đĽşđĽşđĽş i'm glad i shared my breaking down with a bunch of people lol
In answer to your question about the movie, it was rather...homoerotic lmao. The two leads had a lot of chemistry, the one dude had a wife he did not like, and they shared a lot of long lingering looks and teary expressions at the end when they had to seperate. Jeremy Irons plays Neville Chamberlain, the PM before Winston Churchill and it's fascinating to know that WW2 almost fully began in 1938 instead of 1939, and NC worked really hard to buy Britain more time and even stop the war
entirely, and sadly he was not that successful, which resulted in his mass unpopularity. H(tler was just too strong. It was also cool to see German actors play german characters - but one note is that there is no subtitles when you watch it, you have to turn on closed captioning instead because half the film is in German. It moves a little slow in some parts as well, but other than that I gave it an 8/10. Recommended!
Okay I'm watching this soon because it all sounds so freaking fascinating and well done?? Also thank you for the closed captioning tip, I'll definitely turn it on from the start. This sounds really good okay I'm quite excited to watch it! Tysm for the detail god the history geek in me is excited and coming alive again
I'm so late to the party BUT I finally got a look at the set photos of Richard on Eternals and DANG DA BOY IS GONNA HAVE A LOOK! And I love that they didn't cover up his greying hair, it gives more weight to the fact that his character is supposed to 20,000 years old. (Even tho I did kind of laugh at the shots of him on wires - I don't know if I am going to be able to take Robb Stark flying very seriously lol)
IÂ know!! When the rumors came around he was up for the role of Ikaris I immediately googled who this was and I was worried lol. Because there was this blond character and my mind went to this
and I was very much like, do I want a superhero!Richard Madden enough to see him with blond hair again? The answer was yes, of course, but I knew Iâd have to mentally prepare myself for it. So imagine my surprise when Marvel not only said no to the blond hair but also decided to let him keep his natural grey streak!! Good job, Marvel. You know your audience.Â

What do you think happens right after ROS with Finn and Poe's relationship? Do you think Finn realizes that Poe is in love with him or is in the dark for a while until something happens?
I feel like they probably keep the mutual pining going for a little bit before they finally confess their feelings for each other. The end of the war comes with lots of relief and happiness, but also a new life to adjust to. They have to get used to the new rhythm of being co generals and not constantly fearing for their lives. This new freedom/downtime allows Finn to talk to Poe about his force sensitivity and learn more about his past/family. The entire time this is happening, theyâre both trying to figure out if the other really likes them or not, and trying to decide when the right moment to confess their love is. I feel like along the way theyâve both picked up hints that the other likes them, but they ultimately chalk it up to something else because theyâre oblivious. So much so that Rey gets annoyed with them after a bit lmao and doesnât understand why they donât just date already.Â
I think it would just be a LOT of mutual pining and oblivious Finn & Poe. Theyâll do goofy stuff like be flirty with each other but panic and think itâs not meant in a flirty way. Or anytime Rey talks to Finn, Poeâs jealousy will jump out and make him overthink everything. I think they would confess pretty soon after the war, but I do think it would take some more mutual pining for them to get there.Â
"Please, you can't die now." Bucky to Darcy - go for the real emotional crap. ;)
âYou gotta go,â he choked out, an arm banded around his front, blood squelching through the fabric of his tac suit.Â
âForget that.â Darcy looked from the splintered door of theirsad excuse for a hideout back to him, tucked in a corner, metal hand gripping agun both for comfort and safety. âYou jump, I jump, remember?âÂ
He cracked a smile. âLast time I said that, you said youwerenât jumpinâ anywhere without a parachute.âÂ
âYeah, well, Stark wonât make me that parachute jacket I keepputting requisitions in for, so I guess Iâll just have to cross my fingers andhope for the best.âÂ
Bucky stared at her profile. Blood trickled from an open woundthat started at her temple and disappeared into her hair. She was leaning tothe left, even in her crouch, trying to take the pressure off her twisted ankleand her ribs, where sheâd been grazed by a bullet. âNothing but a flesh wound,âsheâd joked, even as she grimaced, dragging his much heavier body along withhers. She was shit at shooting, but she had one of his back up guns in hand andshe was as prepared as she could be to take out whoever came down thehall.Â
âYou remember what I taught you?â he wondered, pulling in atacky, rattling breath.Â
She paused and looked back at him, pasting on a devilishsmile. âYouâre gonna have to be a little more specific.âÂ
He stared at her a beatâ the blue of her eyes, framed in longlashes, and the pink of her lips, a bloody red from where sheâd chewed them up.It wasnât so long ago that she was just another unfamiliar face he had to keepan eye out for.Â
(Â A woman was standing in the kitchen, a poptart in one handand an absurdly large mug of coffee in the other. Her hair was piled on top ofher head, leaning precariously to one side, and her eyes were narrowed intoslits, dark bags underneath them. Rather than greet them, she grunted, and thenwalked off, slippers shuffling across the floor.Â
Bucky stared after her. âWho was that?âÂ
âDarcy,â Steve answered. âShe used to be Doctor Fosterâsassistant. She works for Pepper now.âÂ
Sam chuckled. âShe got into a Twitter war with Stark, caughtPepperâs eye, and she ended up hiring her. Now sheâs the social media coordinator.Darcyâs the reason Starkâs accounts go dark every once in a while. She puts himon time outs when he hasnât had enough sleep.âÂ
Bucky hummed. âShe lives here, too?â
He didnât miss how Steve and Sam glanced at each other, but choseto ignore it.
âYeah, Buck. Sheâs a couple floors down. Sheâs got an office on 8,too. If sheâs not there, sheâs usually in Fosterâs lab.â
He crossed the kitchen to pick up the box sheâd left behind. âWhatwas that thing she was eating?âÂ
âA poptart.â A grinning Sam followed after him. âYou wanna tryone?âÂ
Bucky stared at him suspiciously, but nodded.Â
âYouâre in luck thenâŚâ Sam plucked the box out of his hand andturned it around for Bucky to see. Sam in his full Falcon suit was printed onthe front. âYou like it extra toasty?â )
After that, heâd see Darcy around but wasnât sure how to talk toher. She was loud and confident and always seemed to know what she was doing. She was warm and friendly and would talk to anyone. It didnât matter theenvironment or the group of people, she made herself fit. Whereas he alwaysfelt off and disjointed, like a puzzle piece that was put in the wrong box.
In the end, it was Natasha that suggested he teach Darcy how toshoot. At the very least to defend herself against any possible attack.Â
( âItâs Bucky, right? Or do you prefer James?âÂ
He didnât jump. Heâd heard her footsteps coming for a while. Thecommon room saw a lot of visitors; sometimes he sat there just to get used tobeing around people again. He just wasnât expecting her to talk to him.âYeah.âÂ
She blinked at him. âYeah youâre okay with Bucky or yeah youprefer James?âÂ
He pursed his lips. âBuckyâs fine.âÂ
Her lips twitched. âNo argument here.âÂ
âHuh?âÂ
Waving a dismissive hand, she moved to take a seat beside him atthe kitchen counter. âNatasha sent me your way. She said you needed totalk to me about something? I hope itâs not about opening an Instagram account, because listen, Iâm all for you sharing all of thatââ She motioned to hisface, ââwith the greater public. But we need to work on your publicpersona a bit. Good looks can only get you so far before people startmaking âreasons your fave is problematicâ posts.âÂ
He stared at her. âI didnât get half of that,â headmitted.Â
âNatasha said you wanted to see me. Letâs start there.âÂ
He frowned. âUh, she said you needed training.âÂ
Darcy stiffened. âI what now?â She pulled back. âIthought I made it clear in my work contract that I wouldnât be playing Spy vs.Spy.â She stood. âNo. Nope. Not gonna happen. I canât even jog withoutdoubling up on sports bras. So whatever workout you have in mind, itâs gonnahurt. A lot. Count me out.â
Before she could reach the door, he called out, âShooting.âÂ
She paused. âHuh?âÂ
âI can show you how to shoot. A few defensive moves, too. If youwant.âÂ
She pivoted back to him, curious. âAnd thatâs it? No fivemile runs or wheatgrass shakes?âÂ
âThe hell is wheatgrass?âÂ
She grinned. âI like the way you think, Buckster.âÂ
Confused, and uncomfortable with the fact, he sat up a littlestraighter. âWhenâre you off work?âÂ
âWhat, today? Five, usually.âÂ
He nodded. âMeet me at the range.â
With a salute, she winked. âYou got it.âÂ
As she walked away, Bucky shook his head. What the hell was hegetting himself into?)
Darcy didnât take to guns like she did her taser, but he had afeeling that had more to do with wanting to avoid taking human life. She wasthe type of person that stayed behind in a dangerous situation to savevulnerable animals than her own ass. There was a part of himâ a very largepartâ that admired that about her. Heâd seen too much death. His hands werepainted red with it. Nothing he did now could wash that away. It was the samefor a lot of the people on the team. Theyâd seen and done things they couldnâtget rid of. Couldnât scrub clean from their memory. So, it was nice to bearound someone who was a little less jaded.Â
Getting together with Darcy was never in the plan. Gettingtogether with anyone seemed too far out of reach. Some days, he didnât feellike a whole person. Fractions and fragments of who heâd been and who he turnedinto, just floating around in a misshapen package. Nobody deserved to put upwith that. But there Darcy was, happy to take on the challenge.Â
( âNever took you for a coward, Barnes.âÂ
He paused at the sound of her voice, flipped the safety on his gunand dropped it on the counter in front of him. Turning to face her, he raisedan eyebrow as she crossed the otherwise empty gun range to meet him. Orchallenge him, more like. âWhat made you change your mind?âÂ
She snorted. âGenerally, when a woman asks you out for dinnerand you say youâll be there, you show.âÂ
Technically, sheâd told him she was making spaghetti and if hewanted a bowl, she had an extra chair at her table. He was gonna go. He plannedto. Showered and picked out one of his better shirts to wear. Next thing heknew, he was at the gun range, spaghetti-less.
He looked past her shoulder, focusing on a distant mark on the farwall. âYou think I stood you up?âÂ
Darcy crossed her arms and shrugged. âI think youâre avoiding theinevitable.â
âYeah? Whatâs that?âÂ
âIf I have to tell you, then itâs going to take a lot more than mygrandmaâs famous spaghetti recipe to knock some sense into you.âÂ
His gaze darted toward her. âMaybe I lost track oftime.âÂ
âOr maybe you thought the guns were getting lonely down here.â Sheshrugged. âLook, Iâm not going to chase you. If youâre not ready for this, itâscool. But I donât want to play any âwill they, wonât theyâ games. So, I likeyou. And I think you like me.â She paused. âDo you?âÂ
His tongue dragged across his lower lip before headmitted, âYeah.âÂ
âOkay. WellâŚâ She smiled. âYou should do something aboutthat.â
He took a deep breath. âIâm not good at⌠I donât remember howtoâŚâÂ
She nodded and took a step toward him, and thenanother. âItâs okay.â She reached for his hand and folded their fingerstogether. âWe can take it slow, figure it out together. Step oneâŚâ Shegave his hand a tug. âSpaghetti.âÂ
He looked down at their hands, and then to her, smiling encouragingly. And he took a step forward. âI can do that.â )
Darcy had to go looking for him at the gun range more than a fewtimes. He was comfortable there. It was familiar. Didnât matter what gun hepicked up, he always hit what he wanted to hit and where he wanted to hit it.Shooting paper was simple. At various points in his life, shooting people hadbecome too simple. It kept him up some nights. Mostnights, if he was honest.Â
He wished he could say that he was all healed up. That a fewyears of therapy and having Steve in his life made up for all that time in cryoor under the thumb of HYDRA. But he was walking scar tissue. Some days werebetter than most. Some days he even believed he could have it all. Othershe just couldnât.
( âYou can talk to me, you know that, right?âÂ
Bucky looked up to find Steve hovering nearby, that hang-dog lookon his face that reminded Bucky that things were different, that theyâd neverbe quite right. That too much time had passed. Theyâd each done too many thingsto be the people they once were. But, here they were anyway. And even if hesometimes felt like the living embodiment of Steveâs attempt at salvation, itwas better to be here than where he was.Â
âI know,â he said.Â
âDo you?âÂ
He looked up, meeting Steveâs heavy gaze.
âI know itâs different. That I didnât go through what you did. Andmaybe I canât understand it, not completely. But I want to try, Buck.â He shookhis head. âIâm here. Iâm always gonna be right here.âÂ
Bucky ground his teeth. âEasy to say, not so easy to followthrough with.âÂ
Steveâs brow furrowed.
âWe both know thereâs no guarantees out there, not living thislife. The things we do, nothing says for sure we walk away from that fight intact.â His arm whirred, cogs and wheels moving together and apart. âYouwanna be here, I get that. But there are some things you canât make better. Andneither can I.âÂ
Steve let out a long, heavy sigh. He crossed his arms in thatdefiant way of his. âI think youâre wrong.âÂ
âYeah, well, we wonât know until itâs too late, right?âÂ
Swallowing tightly, Steve gave a quick jerk of his head. âTheoffer stands. You ever wanna talk about whatâs going on in your headâŚâÂ
âItâs not always about that. About the past. Sometimes itâs aboutnow. About who I am and what Iâm doing⌠I donât always think itâs real. ThatIâm probably back there, stuck in cryo, dreaming of better things orsomething.âÂ
âIâd tell you youâre not, but it doesnât make much difference, does it?âÂ
âNo.â Bucky stared up at him. ââCause if it was a dream, youâd saythe same thing.âÂ
He nodded slowly, knowingly. âWhat about Darcy?âÂ
Buckyâs mouth kicked up. âWell, sheâs even more proof, isnât she?Whatâs a girl like that doing with someone like me?â He shook his head. âSheâsexactly what my head would dream up.âÂ
Steve could do nothing but sigh. )
All things considered, Bucky felt lucky. He couldâve gone a fewmore years, for sure. He had more he wanted to do and see. More he wanted toshow Darcy. More he wanted her to show him. But it couldâve been worse. Hecouldâve died under HYDRAâs control. Couldâve gone the rest of his life neverrealizing what heâd lost or ever getting some semblance of peace. Â
(Â âI can feel you staring,â she mumbled.Â
âCanât sleep.âÂ
Darcy cracked one eye open to look at him. âAnd you thoughtmy face might knock you out?âÂ
He half-smiled. âDidnât want to wake you up getting out ofbed.âÂ
Humming, she turned over onto her side and reached for him, hooking an arm around his waist, her fingers drawing circles on his back. âKindof you. But the intense staring overshadows any good boyfriend marks youmightâve got for that.âÂ
âGuess Iâll have to earn âem back another way.âÂ
Stretching, she let out a laugh. âWas that the plan the wholetime? Wake me up for some nookie?âÂ
He brushed her hair back from her face, fingers tracing down herneck. âUnexpected benefit.âÂ
She covered his hand with her own and drew it down, pressing akiss to his palm. âYou wanna tell me why you canât sleep?âÂ
He shook his head faintly. âNot tonight.â He shuffled closerand squeezed her hand. âRain check.âÂ
âRain check,â she agreed. âAs long as nookie is still on thetable.âÂ
He chuckled under his breath. âAlways.â )
Bucky shook his memory off and refocused on the present. Darcywith a gun and any number of attackers coming their way. Heâd taken out whoeverhe could, but they couldâve called for reinforcements since.Â
Much as he complained that her accuracy with a gun wasnât whatit could be, even a crude wound could give them a little time. For what, hewasnât sure. The cavalry, maybe. For Steve or Sam or the rest of the mismatchedsuperhero gang to show up and save their sorry asses.Â
âYou squeeze, donâtââÂ
âDonât pull. I know.â She cast a frown down at the gun and thenpivoted to look at him. âI preferred your other lessons, just FYI.âÂ
He let out a huff of a snort. âPretty sure you wereteachinâ me a few things, doll.âÂ
She grinned slowly. âYou kept up.âÂ
He tipped his head back against a concrete wall and stared ather. Hair in disarray, clothes torn and dirty, spattered with blood (his orhers or someone elseâs?). âNever wanted you to end up hereâŚâÂ
âWhat, in an abandoned building, fighting off some HYDRAreject?â She shrugged. âThe way of life, I guess.âÂ
He stared, unconvinced.
âOkay, so, not for everyone⌠But our immediate circle?Definitely.â Darcy shifted, moving across the floor to sit next tohim. âYou know this isnât your fault, right?âÂ
He grimaced. âPretty sure theyâre not chasing you down oversomething you Twittered.âÂ
âTweeted. And yeah, probably not. But it doesnât matter who theyâreafter. Anything they do is on them, not you.â She met his gaze. âI knewwhat I was getting into. And I donât regret it.âÂ
He didnât either. He wished he could tell her just how much, butthe words buckled in his throat and snagged in his teeth. âYou deservedbetter.âÂ
Darcy smiled. âWho said I didnât find the best?âÂ
He shook his head, a quick jerk, and looked away. He could feelblood puddling underneath him, warm and wet. He could taste it on his tonguetoo, bubbling up his throat only to be swallowed back down. âYou can do alot better than the mess Iâve got in my head.âÂ
Darcy reached for him, gently brushing his hair back from hisface. âYouâre not perfect, Buck. Iâm a far cry from it myself. But youmake me happy.âÂ
He blinked as his eyes burned. âYou make me happy, too,â hechoked out hoarsely.Â
Darcy frowned. âYouâre starting to freak me out. I know thesituation sucks, but the teamâs on their way. Sure, things look a littlesticky, but weâve been in worse, right? Janeâs almost opened three black holesthis year. That felt a lot closer to death than this.â She smiled, but he couldsee her lips trembling. âAnd donât even get me started on how many times Starkâsattempts at âfixingâ something ended up blowing up in our faces. Iâmpretty sure I still have toaster shrapnel in my back.âÂ
Bucky dropped his gun in his lap to reach for her, metal fingerssmoothing over her cheek. âThereâs gotta be a fire exit. If you can get toit, climb to the roof, hop to the next building over. Itâll be tight, but youcan make it. Get as far away as you can, call Steve, heâllââÂ
âHey, hey, heyâŚâ Darcy shook her head and covered hishand. âWeâre getting out of here together.âÂ
He swallowed tightly. âNo.âÂ
âWhat do you mean ânoâ?â She glared. âYou think some tactically trained Naziassholes are how we go? Absolutely not. Iâm making it to 93 and dying on abeach, drinking a Mai Tai and reminiscing about all the fun, crazy shit I did.And you, probably looking way hotter than any 98-year-old should, are going tobe right there with me, you got it?âÂ
âWe gotta be smart. You got a chance here. You can make it ifyou justââÂ
âIf I what? Huh? If I just leave you behind?âÂ
He stared up at her, searching her stubborn, scared, angry face. âListen, dollâŚâÂ
âNo.â She squeezed his hand. âIâm not leaving you here. Ifthose assholes want you, theyâll get me too. And a face full of lead. BecauseIâm shooting anybody that comes looking.âÂ
He smiled faintly, mouth curved up on one side. âYou aimfor their face, youâll end up hitting their toes.âÂ
Darcy rolled her eyes. âShut up. Besides, I usually aim forthe chest and hit their crotch. It has a lasting effect.âÂ
He snorted.Â
Shuffling closer, Darcy pressed her shoulder to his and droppedher gaze to his arm, still pressed tight across his chest. âYou wanna tellme how bad it is?â Before he could reply, she added, âNo rain checks thistime.âÂ
Drawing a deep breath, he admitted, âNot good.âÂ
Her hand tightened around his, enough that the pressure sensorsalerted him. âHad a good run though.âÂ
She laughed, thick and cracked. âDid you?âÂ
âThe beginning was pretty good. End wasnât too bad either.âÂ
âSure, just the 70 years in between. A drop in the bucket, really.âÂ
He half-smiled. âCouldâa been worse.âÂ
Darcy turned to him, her brow furrowed. âSeriously? How?âÂ
âCouldâa been 80.â He stared at her. âCould been a dream.âÂ
She blinked as her eyes filled. âItâs not fair⌠You gotout. You got another chance. And now⌠Itâs over?â She shook her head. âYoudeserved better.âÂ
âI donât know. I had it pretty good.â He licked his drylips. âI had you, right?âÂ
Her mouth trembled. âItâs not enough.âÂ
The pain was gone. It was a relief, even though he knew what itmeant. âIt was plenty. Lot more than I ever thought Iâd get.â More thanheâd thought he deserved for a long while.Â
âBuckyâŚâ She turned over and pushed onto her knees. âYoucanât go, okay? Steve needs you. I need you.â She put her gun aside and cupped his face, her thumbsstroking across the high arch of his cheeks. âI know I pretend nothing bothersme, but it does. Everything scares me. Growing up, natural disasters, heights, spiders, love. Being with you put a lot of that to test. It made me into abetter person. A stronger person. And I like to think it did the same for you.I think it still could. But you need to be here for that, okay?âÂ
He wanted to. God, he wanted to, so damn much. But his visionwas darkening around the edges and his body was growing number by the second. He coughed then, his chest jerking forward and blood dribbling down his chin. âDarceâŚâÂ
She let out a strangled noise. âNo, please, you canât dienowâŚâ She leaned in, pressing her forehead to his. âItâs just the beginning.âÂ
He squeezed his eyes shut and swallowed down the burning lumpbuilding in his throat. âRain check, all right?â
With a strangled sob, Darcy nodded. âRain check.â
He could hear thumping footsteps and muffled voices calling toeach other in the hallway then. He pulled in a deep breath, his heartstuttering, and he pushed his gun into her hand, staring up at her meaningfully.Â
Darcy stared back for a beat. Stubborn and wild and wearing hertears like war paint. She pressed a kiss to his forehead and his cheek and hislips, and then she stood, raising both guns as she went.
What was left of the door flew open and bullets startedflying.Â
Darcyâs war cry echoed in his ears, the last thing he heard before it all went dark.
