🐍 -> 💜:

jamil never gets tired of seeing the look in yuusha’s eyes whether its a look of fondness or cheekiness towards him. this is a precious sight to him especially considering their pre-relationship when yuusha have avoided eye contact with him for a while. and if she did look at him during that time, she will look at him with disdain and hatred. it’s really dangerous somehow, those eyes, how her look can render him thoughtless.

yuusha’s smile and laughter never fails to give jamil butterflies in his stomach (stupid bugs 💢). he makes attempts to see her smile and hear her laugh in very unsubtle ways. he wasn’t as smooth as he thought. jamil doesn’t think that he’s particularly entertaining either but if his clumsy attempts even work just a little, then it was worth it.

one time, jamil caught yuusha and grim dancing and (gratingly) singing their hearts out while doing cleaning duties on campus grounds. yuusha wasn’t usually seen with clothes that show her skin, but this time her arms and legs were bare, possibly for the obvious reason that it is quite hot and they’re outside cleaning. what caught jamil’s eyes though, were yuusha’s legs — how free and carefree her movements are dancing with absolutely no rhyme or reason. strange. he didn’t think this was a part that he’d be attracted to. maybe it was just her in particular.

💜 -> 🐍:

yuusha was already fond of playing around with people’s hair. but jamil’s hair she loved in particular. she thought that jamil looked beautiful, handsome, the way it looks on him and the way he personally styles it. she would also be the one to style it or mess around with it when she’s given the chance. with or without permission. for the most part, jamil lets her anyway. it’s a sign of affection from her as well, because that meant yuusha likes a person enough to be this comfortable with them.

there was something about jamil’s voice that gets yuusha flustered. was it weird being attracted to someone’s voice? kind of ironic since it was partially his voice that hypnotized her — the one act that made her hate him (and still seemingly would never forgive him for). though, during the time they became closer, yuusha grew more fond of the sound of jamil’s voice. she even finds herself falling asleep to it. looks like jamil doesn’t need his magic at all to “hypnotize” her at this point.

yuusha is already a pretty touchy person, but she doesn’t really end up having skin-to-skin contact with anyone for specific reasons. when it comes to jamil, yuusha looks at his hands and arms and finds herself always clinging to them or holding onto them out of affection. she also feels warm and safe whenever she is in jamil’s arms or just whenever he touches her with his hands, it makes her feel weak.

10. How secure are they in their relationship?

pre-relationship was VERY rocky so they didn’t really get into a relationship once they have sufficient trust in one another and are finally COMFORTABLE comfortable being seen together and admitting that they ARE together.

one thing they've established early on though is yuusha's desire to go home eventually. they've both agreed to live in the moment and let this relationship play out. and that they cherish the time they do have together. it's better to try than not at all. and whatever happens in the future happens.

though there’s STILL definitely some insecurities on both sides (as you do as teenagers in their first relationships) and not to mention the individual circumstances each one is in (that regular teenagers really don't deal with but alas).

for 🐍:

jamil has the looming thought that yuusha's presence in his life would be shorter-lived (for another reason that isn't the fact that yuusha wants to go home). he trusted yuusha’s love for him to be genuine but will it last? some people fall out of love and move on to other people. he sees yuusha’s capacity for that— to have a lot of love for everyone. why restrict herself with him?

sometimes, jamil doesn't feel deserving of his feelings being reciprocated. in fact, he didn't even expect this outcome. of them being together after the mutual confession. he already banked for rejection, he didn't think he'd actually make it this far with her.

though some days jamil has thought of ways he can possibly convince her to stay if it ever comes to it. although he knows he would not go through with it. regrettably, jamil had also considered of the other option of keeping her indefinitely. but that would be unfair to both of them, wouldn’t it? and very selfish of him.

if by sheer luck, that they DO end up together up until the future, what could jamil even offer yuusha? what could he provide for her? love and affection and company? how sweet, she’d be down for that, but he has to be realistic. neither of them has anything. and surely with the connections yuusha had already made, she has the opportunity to live a better life than HE could ever provide her.

but for now, he’ll live in the present. for now, yuusha belongs to jamil and he belongs to her.

for 💜:

yuusha’s insecurities are similar to jamil’s but in a different font. while jamil’s worries are built on uncertainty, yuusha seems to be FOR SURE about her worries. even if they're wrong.

yuusha believes that jamil's affection for her is real. but she still wonders if jamil ever only started loving her out of pity? out of guilt for his actions? those are thoughts that still linger in her mind even during their pre-relationship phase when they were becoming close friends.

on the other hand, yuusha felt like she was only projecting her own feeling towards jamil. she felt guilty for ever loving him and selfish making him know that she loves him and being together with him. knowing that at some point, she herself have to end it considering her desire to go home. yuusha felt like he was leading him on.

even if she might be able to go back-and-forth between her world and twisted wonderland, she KNOWS she would always choose her home despite all her newfound relationships in this new world. yuusha KNOWS that it would not work out long-term between her and jamil.

she also considered that if there was no way for her to go back home, yuusha found solace

yuusha convinces herself that jamil is enough even if he thinks that he can’t give her anything

all it really takes is some healthy communication but why would you bring it up when these fears seem to be trivial and you don’t see the other being bothered by any of it anyway and on the surface everything seems to be fine and dandy god they're a mess

14. What are some “gross” couple things they do? Sharing food/drinks? Overt PDA? Matching outfits

unbearable back-and-forth banter: PRETTY self-explanatory i think. they often tease each other, and usually can't take what they dish out. sometimes they sound like they're actually arguing for people who don't know them well. for those who ARE close to them can recognize their banter and would either find it gross or cute.

PDA: yuusha always initiates it (cuddles, hugs, touchy-touchies, hand-holding, kisses, etc.) and she has no problem doing so. jamil rarely initiates it, but whenever he does it, it is always a pleasant surprise for yuusha. and somehow a lot more effective.

photos of each other: yuusha keeps a lot of candid photos of everyone, but with jamil, she has SIGNIFICANTLY more photos of him just trying to catch him in an unflattering angle. but it's too difficult to do so because SOMEHOW jamil is naturally photogenic and almost all of her photos of him are his pretty face. she also takes photos of them together for silly reasons. jamil also sneaks photos of yuusha, but he actually makes sure she looks nice. he also keeps the photos that yuusha takes of them together. while yuusha is very outward about showing off her pictures of jamil (by sharing them to others, or posting them on magicam, etc.), jamil keeps all the photos of yuusha by herself and them together to himself. like his personal treasures.

"let me cook, don't bother me. just sit still, look pretty, and keep me company": jamiyuusha in the kitchen, yapper x listener dynamic. kinda similar to if jamil was a driver and yuusha was just being a passenger princess. once jamil is done cooking though, yuusha would be the "taste tester". they'd only feed each other in private and would eat jamil's cooking together afterward (if the meal was only meant for the both of them).

slow-dancing without music: ALSO self-explanatory. it honestly just happens at random or when the Mood strikes.

OKAY an oc wasnt specified but i could guess which one it is anyway sksjsk PLUS i would do yuusha anyway to be consistent with the rest of the post (and bc unashamedly i have a favorite 😔💜)

1. When your OC uses cosmic magic, is it light or dark magic?

i remember answering this here at one point!! if yuusha ever gets magic, i would see her cosmic magic as dark magic. since i gave yuusha a lot of elsa inspirations, i based this on the concepts of elsa initially being a villain.

16. Does your OC put up a façade or are they being their genuine self around others? And would other characters agree with their answer?

it's somewhat of a mix! yuusha IS her genuine self but exaggerated to an extent. in wanting to be finally honest about what she's like to other people, she ends up overcompensating and is more performative than intended.

so not REALLY fully genuine, but most people are convinced by her act. yuusha does manage to be more lowkey and GENUINE genuine when she's actually around the people who she is closest to. ironically enough, it becomes more obvious if she's faking when it comes to the people she is more genuine towards.

24. Are there any events your OC really wanted to participate in? Is there an annual NRC-held event they look forward to? If so, why?

one of yuusha's favorite NRC-held event was Wish Upon a Star. it's fascinating to her the tradition of being "stargazers" and collecting everyone's wishes. there's just something about people being vulnerable about their desires, at least the ones who are willing to be serious about the event. it helps her connect with them.

(i also want to design a starsending outfit for yuusha but alas 😔)
