Hello, how are you? I recently saw someone's question about how male recruits would react when they found out their respective partner was pregnant, and I wanted to know what it would be like for female recruits as well. I know you don't have all of his stories developed yet, but I would at least like to know what it was like for Farja to tell her partner that she is pregnant and how he reacted, and also how Jafar reacted when he found out that he was going to be a grandfather. And in Veil's case, what was it like for her to adopt?
JANE:
So after MUCH reconsideration and evaluation of how I was going to go about her character, as well as diving into a bit of research into her character, she and her mermaid girlfriend wouldn't have any kids because they're already taking care of the Lost Boys and Girls that come to Neverland.
JAMILIA:
I've been digging for inspiration for her story and while nothing is concrete for me yet, I like my current direction I'm going. (I'm currently wanting to go in the direction of the 2018 film Ophelia. But this could change). Jamilia would be a mixed bag of excited and terrified. Since she was an orphan and the runt of her pack, she didn't have good parental figures and doesn't know how a parent is supposed to act, but she does know how a parent isn't supposed to act.
As in who her ML would be in this situation is still undecided, however, if there's a political issue (like I think there might be) then she may not be able to tell the father because of the risk it would be to herself.
FARJA:
As someone who has issues with her magic, sometimes the side effects results in a magic sickness where it'll give her a migraine from over/under use and she must rest, however after about the second week of being sick Mozzie (mozenwrath) is worried. With no one else to turn to for magic advice, they turn to Jafar who asks a series of questions before he determines she's pregnant and faints when he realizes he's going to be a grandfather.
[When she gives birth to twin sons, she's overjoyed and Jafar is sobbing while Mozzie is scared he's going to drop the babies.]
VEIL:
Due to one of the procedures done earlier on as a child, Veil is unable to have a child of her own. However, between her Tiefling lover who has lots of younger siblings and the orphanage she frequents, she's got enough kids to dote on and make them feel loved like she never could.
There will get to a point where they look into alternative ways of reversing the side effects of the potion she was forced to take as a child, however, upon searching for the healer/witch they come across a small hut in the forest with a screaming Tiefling infant, the parents nowhere to be seen but blood and wolf marks are everywhere. Unwilling to leave the infant alone or behind, Veil raises it as her own and sings the loveliest lullabies.
EMBER HADES:
Ember and her love interest are still underdeveloped for me. I can't decide if I want to do a Hydra, a Minotaur, OR a Cerberus werewolf. Still for now I do not foresee them having kids at this time, but I do feel like Ember MIGHT want some.

96 pages, published 1958
Original language: Russian
Native author? Yes

Blurb:
The Second World War is raging, and Jamilia's husband is off fighting at the front. Accompanied by Daniyar, a sullen newcomer who was wounded on the battlefield, Jamilia spends her days hauling sacks of grain from the threshing floor to the train station in their village in the Caucasus.
Spurning men's advances and wincing at the dispassionate letters she receives from her husband, Jamilia falls helplessly in love with the mysterious Daniyar in this heartbreakingly beautiful tale.
A classic from the award-winning Kyrgyz novelist Chingiz Aitmatov.
Other reps: #disability (injury)
Genres: #romance #historical, 20th century #war #classics
My thoughts:
Not really a YA, obviously, but basically the only translated author out of Kyrgyzstan, this novella is said to be a beautiful love story.
Review to come.

Hi 👋🏻
How are the combat skills of the recruits and hosts? If you were in a situation where you had to fight, how would you each defend yourself? , either with weapons, magic, knowing how to fight or a unique ability
I really do enjoy your asks; they help break me out of my mold and make me think outside the box and get my creativity going. This was a fun one to brainstorm on. I will be dividing them up via melee and magic users, while I believe that most of them use magic of some kind, I feel as though a few of them prefer weapons. I’ll even try to include a few examples of the type of people their fighting styles would be similar to.
I will divide this into 2 posts, melee users and magic users.
MELEE USERS:
Mr. Po | Weapon: Necktie/whip | Offensive | Attacking the weakest point.
(Kento Nanami from Jujutsu Kaisen)
Mr. Po might be a phenomenal accountant, but he is also a nightmare inducing punisher. He’s not a hero like his sister Edna, doesn’t particularly associate with them either, but he has no issue getting rid of the problems that arise in his life. There was a time in Eva Villa’s life where people tried to harass her, and when Mr. Eito Po heard about it, well, let’s just say they’re not a problem anymore.
Ms. Villa | Weapon: Scissors | Defensive | Manipulating stitches in fabric.
(Lubbock from Akame ga Kill!)
Eva doesn’t fight, it’s simply not what ladies like her do, however, she’s not entirely above getting into a bit of a tiff if it means retaining her honor. After a single incident where someone tried to sabotage one of her biggest projects in her senior year in university, she made sure to have very special protections put up around her and her projects.
Jack Heart | Weapon: Halberd | Offensive | Powers change with the card suit on his cheek.
(Example in The Last Card)
Jack has had to behead many an individual who displeased the Queen of Hearts in the slightest. From a string of broken hearts to whisperers with independent opinions, and always had to do it upon command. Sometimes it was as a mindless doll, but occasionally it also came from the deepest pits of anger from behind his sweet smile.
Dalmatia | Weapon: Whip | Defensive | No magic
(Yoko Kurama from YuYu Hakusho)
He doesn’t really fight, never really needed to because his beloved Cruella de Ville had a nasty habit of taking care of things herself. However, Dalmatia has suffered from the nasty sting of a whip before and was quick to learn how to defend himself against one and how to use it against the ones that hurt him.
Jamilia | Weapon: Hyena claws |Offensive | No magic
(Rikku Berserker from Final Fantasy X-2)
Growing up in the Elephant Graveyard and getting into plenty of tussles and fights with hyenas and a few wayward lions, Jamilia had to learn how to defend herself. As sweet as she is, she has her feral moments and when she gets into a fight, sometimes she gets lost in the heat of the moment and can’t pull herself out of it and things get out of hand.
Veil | Weapon: Daggers | Offensive | No magic, just assassin skills.
(Violet from Violet Evergarden)
Frollo’s secret order of assassins were carefully trained in the art of stealth and living in the shadows that they could compete with any ninja that dared to trespass into Europe. Due to her tragic upbringing and her numbed to all acts and sense of violence when she gets into that zone, she will clear a battlefield without batting an eye or without a fear of losing her own life.
Thanks so much for reading this, if you have any more questions please feel free to drop me an ask!

Golden
Okay, I'm going out in left field for this one because I haven't developed her story yet, but this one will be for my pretty Scar, Jamilia.
Though the elephant graveyard where she asks her pack lived was dark and dismal and reeked of decay, one of her favorite things to do was was to climb atop the tallest pile of bones where the largest elephant skull stood proud to watch the first light touch the earth.
The elephant graveyard was the last to be touched by the light of the day, but that was okay with Jamilia. Because it was the last place touched by light she was able to watch the sun rise and touch the Pride lands and brought everything to life. It started off with feather purples and spread out to fruit red to a bright orange until a beam of light made everything golden. It was a short moment of time and disappeared just as quickly as it came, but it was a magnificent sight to behold and it was always worth being the first one awake every day because there was at least once a day where she felt beautiful and worthy enough to be painted golden by the sun before everyone reminded her of her place in the pack and she was nothing more than a pebble.
