Day 596 in the studio - watch the unabridged version on my Facebook page. Please give me a 'like' when you're there. This is a quick run through of how I've been approaching my new record. I set out not wanting to play to a click, but rather a grove that was reliable. In steps in an analog Roland tr606 drum machine, circa '82. I've using it a lot to drive my acoustic performances, and I believe it's helping! Inevitably the 606 will work it's way onto the record, though I am also planning on having acoustic drums augment these sounds. I'm hoping this will make for a very interesting piece of music, at least I will be learning lots as I go.
