James Miller
Witch
35
Novelist under a pseudonym, helps police with his "expertise".
As a witch, he is capable to see ghosts and communicate to them, as well as summon them via spells. However, his powers also allow him to control them, give them temporary life, or summon them with biokinetic, rather than necrotic, energy. He has premonitions, advanced telekinesis, the ability to blink (teleport), and manipulate the four elements as an expansion from his main witch power, which is biokinesis. He can heal wounds, or otherwise transfer them, reopen old ones, etc. Additionally, he possesses the ability to induce sleep, nightmares, and vivid illusions.
With a power that skips a generation, James first felt crazy when his imaginary friends happen to not be imaginary at all, that attracted attention and concern from his teachers that lead to his parents, unaware of what they were carrying, to confide in his grandmother. Who immediately taught him what was going on. For as long as his grandmother lived, which sadly wasn't too long, he was taught into magic, and when she was gone as he hit his late teens, he began to be the target of demons and fate moving him towards magical cases. This lead him to want to aid in the investigation of a disappearing "friend" and use his powers. He posed as a psychic, and while technically one, allowed himself to keep his magic secret.
Played by Aaron Taylor Johnson. Gay.
