there's something about the backrooms soundtrack (including the music released with the youtube series, which i will admit i have not listened to as much of) that is so ascendant. it's terror but also wonder... the indulgence of childish delight in something so strange and cast within a depiction of absolute horror. the saxophone(?) bits in particular are the encapsulation of that feeling to me.
some examples would be old home not yet built (pure wonder, trepidation) and complex (which has those saxophone bits too)... inject this soundtrack straight into my veins PLEASE

not relevant to anything i'm working on now. but my friend @paskalin & i have decided to do a crack-y dunk and egg style roleplay adventure with two of our ocs (and plenty more around them), and have formed a dance-never-happened au where. this is the dragon situation. absolutely bonkers.
