Everyone raved over 2014 horror flick The Babadook, and though I was quite fond of it, being the horror film loving geek that I am, I felt it was overrated. Thereâs nothing overrated about this âbabadookâ though, which comes from Nashville hip hop and R&B crooner James Droll. Its title is obviously inspired by the film, but this is no nightmare scare that greets our ears but a gooey melting, dreamy drawling, and mellowed out reverie that lulls us into a state of peaceful bliss.
