He tossed the football back before turning to his fellow Kryptonian. "Besides, I don't have a fancy suit like you, Clark."

Jake was running late, he was told Cat Grant wasn’t really sympathetic for tardiness, that it had to be a real good reason to be late. He was shuffling through his bag looking for his resume not paying attention to where he was going. Honestly, working for CatCo was just a cover up, there was no way that two members of the House of El were on Earth, and given the apparent difference in age between Superman and Supergirl, he would be insane to not look into it and see if Supergirl was who he thought it was. He was just turning the corner when he ran smack into someone dropping his folder with his resume and making the other, a blond girl drop what she was carrying, funny whenever he bumped into someone it always almost resulted in him knocking them on their butt but that was not the case, it was like she wasn’t even fazed. Perfect day to forget his Blue Kryptonite ring. “Sorry about that, here let me help” Jake said as he knelt down and began picking up papers and handing them to her while he picked up his folder and stood up. “Hate to hit and run, but I’m late to see Ms. Grant, hope I didn’t knock the wind out of you” he apologized before walking past and disappearing. Something was off but he didn’t have time to ponder why he ran into someone and it didn’t send them flying to the ground. 

“Um...okay?” Jake said as he scratched his head as the coach walked off. “Do I know you?” 

It had been a year since the attack on Metropolis by Zod and the remaining Kryptonians when he tried to resurrect their now dead world on Earth, and as much as Jake didn’t want to feel alone again he couldn’t let an entire planet died just so his race could thrive again and after that a few months later, the God of Mischief, Loki had attacked seeking to rule humanity and he had happened to be in New York at the time but with everything going on no one noticed him taking part in the fight. Today however, Jake was playing it very low key to stay off this mysterious organizations radar, a task he found sometimes hard to do. He walking back to his apartment when he saw a crowd forming and looking toward the sky, something was hurdling toward the city and with his perfect eyesight he was able to zoom in on it, it was a small plane and if not stopped it was gonna cause some damage, with everyone’s attention on the plane, Jake shot into the air heading for the plane and when he got close he flew past and then turned around and grabbed it by the tail but that proved ineffective as it broke off, tossing it away from the city he shot after the plane and flew ahead of it and caught it and tried to slow it down as it got closer to the city, he looked behind him as people began to scatter as it was evident it would not be an easy landing. He managed to slow it down as they got closer he touched down and set the plane down in the middle of the road and straightened up and looked around as people cheered him on and took pictures and videos, that was gonna blow up all over the internet he needed to leave before anyone he didn’t want to encounter showed up. He pushed through the crowd and past a girl who looked intrigued. 

“Who the hell pushes someone off the cliff and then fires at them?” Jake picked the guy up and slammed him against the wall. “You could’ve killed her” 

He exited the office and just writing something down when he turned around only to run into Kara, who should’ve have been knocked onto the ground, after all he had been told it was like running into a brick wall with him. “Sorry about that, just needed to ask Ms. Grant something” Jake said as he moved out the way letting her walk by before going to ask Kat something before walking by Kara’s desk and grabbing his phone and bag and making his way toward the entrance. After he exited CatCo he made his way over to a hot dog stand and got one and made his way to the parking garage. He was looking through a text message saying that there was no matches so far for Supergirl, and his friend couldn’t find anything about a second ship landing on Earth, the only thing that pulled up was Superman’s ship. “Like finding a needle in a haystack”
