“Hi” I said trying to avoid his eyes. I tried getting Jaemins attention but he was checking out the mangos, and I was stuck here with this guy

“Its been so long, how are you?” He said

“I’ve been doing great.” I said now looking at him.

“Thats not what I heard from my friends, after we broke up you locked yourself in your room and cried for a week.” He said laughing. I wanted to punch him right in the face so his laugh would turn into crying.

“Look, I don’t know who told you that, but I was so happy we broke up.” I said now looking at the tomatoes in front of me

“If your doing so great why can’t you tell me straight to my face, and not look anywhere else.” He said, I was getting to annoyed by this man I wanted to just kick him and punch him so hard. I was about to answer when I felt an arm around my shoulder.

“Baby what are you doing?” Jaemin said as I turned to look at him.

“ my ex, help me out” I mouthed at him, pointing with my eyes.

“I’m Jaemin, y/n’s one and only boyfriend, and who are you?” Jaemin said pulling me closer to his body

“I’m Chris, the ex” He said with a smirk on his face, it was like he was proud of being my ex, ughh I wish I could just punch his little smirk off his face, he is so annoying.

Jaemin’s POV

I grabbed onto Y/n even tighter, looking at the ex. This guy wasn’t letting go of the conversation and neither was I.

“Nice to meet you, the ex, never thought people took that title to heart, kinda seems embarrassing to say if I were you.” I said getting a little annoyed

“Well when you date someone like y/n keeping this title is good especially when you see the boyfriend, seems like y/n’s been busy, like they always are ” He said smirking

At this point my blood was boiling, and anything I said or do next y/n wouldn’t be able to control.

“Look man, I’m sure y/n said this to you, but you need to leave before anything gets any worse.” I said in a low tone, pulling y/n behind me

“Jaemin whoever you are, I don’t care, but I assure you that you were just a babysitter for y/n, the real man is here, so it would be nice if you could give her/him back to me.” He said smiling holding out his hand. I couldn’t take this guy anymore.

I took his hand and pulled him close

“If you don’t want to end up on the internet as an idiot in a grocery store I suggest you leave, or one of us is going to the hospital, and heads up its not going to be me.” I said as I pushed him away, and dragging y/n out of the grocery store.

“Jaemin, are you okay?” i heard y/n say in a low tone.

“Baby I’m good, how about you, did he touch you?” I said putting my hands on y/n’s cheeks checking for anything on their face.

“No he didn’t touch me” they said

“Okay good.” I said putting our foreheads together

“Ughh I can’t believe he ruined our night together, and now we won’t know who the best cook is.” They said cutely pacing around.

“Its okay, we can just go out to eat, I’ll pay for it, after what happened I don’t think I should go back inside the grocery store.” I said grabbing y/n’s hand.

“Yeah, what did you say to him, he seemed a little shook” Y/n said stopping me.

“I just told him, that you have me, and I wouldn’t let anything happen to you.” I said caressing their cheek, getting closer.

“Just so you know I would’ve won the competition.” I said before giving them a kiss and running away.
