I've seen you and a few other people say that Val being a lesbian is a unpopular opinion. Is it really unpopular tho? I mean, to me she clearly is a lesbian. I'm afraid to ask but I have to was there ever a discourse claiming she is not?
back in the day when tcatf (rip) book 3 was being updated weekly and i was just lurking here without an actual blog, people used to (i honestly think they still do) ship val with that knight she helped in fydelia or ship her and raydan. there were lots of posts with it and i think you can still find some of them if you go through val's tag. i think there was an actual discourse about it but my memories from that time is pretty hazy and the blogs i used to check when i was new here weren't really involved with discourses. i honestly don't know if it is unpopular, but i know it's not a consensus
