Patty Wetterling, surrounded by friends & family (including my mom & dad), said with heroic eloquence today: his legacy will go on. I have few words. But the world needs to know what Rock Stars the Wetterlings are. Jerry, Amy, Trevor, Carmen, Patty. And also my parents. And our friends in St. Joe. And my brother. We all grew up together. So many stories of Joetown, sledding, the 4ths of July, playing piano at Christmas for everyone. In the dark, there came great light. Hope. Love. Positivity. Laughter. Board games & music. Smiles and dinners and cookies. I didn't want to post anything about this. Public words are so strange sometimes. It's a private storm we weather. But Patty speaking to the media today was so her. Inspiring. Always. Good job, Patty. Jake would be so proud of his mom.
