Everything & A Little More || Brooke & Jackson
Brooke was unsure when she fell asleep, rather she had cried herself to sleep or rather she just fell asleep. But she woke up when she heard a dog barking. "Shit." She mumbled as she sat up, heading for the bathroom first and  then she washed her hands afterwards. Making her way into the kitchen, she glanced around a little bit. Thinking about what she wanted to do. Maybe they would just order take out, it was late for her to cook anything and she had fallen asleep without meaning too. Stress was something that she didn't want to cause for this baby or for Jackson. He was under enough stress but Brooke had told him that they would have that conversation. That damn conversation about her past. It was something that she didn't want to do but he would find out sooner or later and it was best for him if she told him. Sighing to herself a little bit, she made her way from the kitchen, heading back out to the living room. Brooke opened that shoe box once again, but this time she dug around for something. It was a photo of Mason and herself. Glancing at it for a moment before she placed it back into the box.
Honestly, she missed how things use to be when she actually had a good relationship with her father. She hated that they had fallen so far apart but that was her fault. Brooke had been the one to cause that due to her behaviour even if the doctors told her that there was nothing that she could have done about that. That was when she heard keys in the door, that broke through her thoughts. Glancing up towards the entrance, she seen Jackson walk in and she did her best to put on a smile which was easily readable as a fake one. Especially for him given that he what he did for a living. "Hey..how are things at the station? Also, I sorta of fell asleep so I was thinking take out or pizza?" She asked before she stood up, heading over to the entry way. "Not unless you really want me to cook then I can. I don't mind. Also, I spoke with Evan. I do believe that he is going to make sure that I work less and I told him to hire my friend, Haley. Sorry ramble."Â
