Stan likes to do all the typical Dad (TM) stuff with you

playing catch, riding bikes, going fishing, etc etc

the truth is though, he's terrible at all of them

cannot throw a ball to save his life

still needs training wheels

has no idea how to bait a hook

but it doesn't really matter whether he's good at them or not because he's spending time with you and that's what he cares about

so imagine you're out fishing

the two of you crammed into a little boat in the middle of a big lake (it's off season so there's no fish but neither of you thought to check before your trip)

you've been here for hours

Stan tries to tell stories and sing camp songs but you are so bored and there's no cell reception

you tell him you want to go home or at least head back to the cabin

but he insists you stay a little longer

"Just you hold on, sport, I'm sure the fish'll start biting any second now"

makes you drink water a lot

while trying to reach around you to get something from your little coolere, Stan accidentally capsizes the boat

you both fall in the water and suddenly you can't stop laughing

his moustache is all wet and droopy and he's complaining about his fanny pack getting wet

you splash him and then it's all out war, the two of you splashing and dunking each other until you can get back to shore

so maybe you didn't catch any fish
