The compass that doesn't point north 🧡😋🥰😍😏

One could say that none of Sam’s expectations of what the antichrist would be had come true. He had expected a demon, a monster, Lucifer in a new, more powerful package: not a scared and confused boy who had immediately latched on to him as a lifeline.

Whatever Jack would turn out to be, it was clear to Sam that he wasn’t intrinsically evil. Just like Sam wasn’t evil when he had been tricked by Ruby to kill Lilith, but influenced by the wrong person he had cause tremendous damage. 

Jack may not be evil, but he was powerful and influenced by the wrong entities he could destroy the world. That was all Dean saw. Cas and Jack’s mother had seen him as a bringer of peace on earth. Sam’s own opinion of the nephilim was nuanced. He could be turned to good if he was taught by the right people and learned to control his powers. That was where Sam came in. And perhaps if they managed to do that, Jack could help get their mother back.

Sam had given Jack his laptop and showed him Kelly’s last words for her son. It had been an emotional moment. Sam knew all too well what it was to miss a mother he had never had growing up, so he empathised. He had left him on his own for the evening to process everything, but now that it was the next morning, he went to his room to check up on the kid.

He knocked on the door, opened it a crack and looked in.

Jack Sparrow: "True enough, this compass does not point North."

Elizabeth Swann "...Where does it point?"

Jack Sparrow: "It points to the thing you want most in this world."
