Having left Shay and Robert's apartment, Hank fancied a quick coffee before heading back to the school. He couldn't help but be worried about her, even if she said that she was okay, it was clear that something was wrong. Obviously Hank didn't know everything that had happened to her, but he could guess, and it wasn't good. 

But just as he was starting to wonder what it was that those bastards could have done, a familiar face came into view at the counter of the diner. What a day that had been, how long and awful and full of fear and anger, and it had all started with that man sitting there. 

Every rational thought in Hank's head was telling him to grab some coffee and get out of there as quick as possible, or to even forget the coffee all together. But the thought of what the people associated to the Speedster had done to Shay, well it was a little over powering for him to ignore.
