The first character I first fell in love with Initially, it was Nagisa. Before I started watching, (being extremely obsessed with Armin Arlert) I looked at the cast and was like, “sMALL BLONDE BOY??? I WNAT!!” But then when I started watching, Makoto stole my heart and backstroked away with it. Kitty.

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now

*sobs* Rin. I just freaking love him so much. He gives me a lot of hope. What roped me into being complete and total gay swimmer trash (as opposed to just sort of appreciating the concept without actually watching the whole show) was the end of Eternal Summer and role Rin played in everything. I love his personality, his growth, the intensity with which he does everything. And his clear-headed determination is really something I wish I had.

The character everyone else loves that I don’t

*shrugs* Kisumi? I’m probably speaking too soon because I’m considering a Kisumi cosplay so nvm. I didn’t fall for him when he appeared because I didn’t watch ES as it premiered, so he was just sort of another cast member to meet, not a hot new babe. Though he is a hot babe.*hides face* I haven’t totally fallen for Sousuke yet either?? Like, I LOVE SouRin’s dynamic and all of Samezuka, but he just hasn’t totally won me over yet. Soon.

The character I love that everyone else hates

Rin. I guess it depends who I talk to me, but I’ve definitely encountered Rin hate. Also Haru, for being ‘boring’ and ‘emo’. My love for Haruka Nanase is deep and endless.

The character I used to love but don’t any longer

Nagisa…I never stopped loving him, I just got swept up in shipping various combinations of Haru/Mako/Rin/Sousuke and crying over Samezuka. But mark my words, one of these days, Reigisa feels are going to hit me like a truck and I won’t be able to function.

The character I would totally smooch

Aiichirou Nitori, get the fuck over here and let me kiss your face.

The character I’d want to be like

There are parts of Haru, Makoto, and Rin that I admire a lot.  I guess if I had to pick, Rin. He’s rather unlike me, so I guess I’m so drawn to him because he balances me out.

The character I’d slap

Season 1 Rin. Nahhh man, I love all my swimmer babies too much to slap them. Wait, does it specify where I can slap…?

A pairing that I love

How can I pick just one?? RinHaru is the OTP right now. I’m a huge proponent of RinRei. I also have so many feels for MakoHaru and SouRin.

A pairing that I despise

I don’t really have one I hate, but I’m not super cool with RinGou. ._. Also KisuMako is only ok if Haru runs in to claim Mako again.
