Emerald eyes popped open, trying to rub off the dreamless night with his small fingers. It seemed all creativity in his mind had completely shattered when Mello died, and it was hard to even conjure up a dream. It seemed like everything had gone to shit, and all color left. Everything around Issak was just shades of grey. What was worse, was his father. Matt was not exactly functioning correctly. And as the blonde boy sat up and stood. He knew the day would be long, frustrating. Just trying to get his usually sleepless father up.
Dressed still in his pajama’s, the blonde walked across the hall, using the bathroom before finally looking in the mirror. Four hours of sleep had not done him any good. The dark circles under his eyes were very prominent, and his skin was even more pale than usual. He never left the house for more than the 15 minutes it took to run down the street and pick up something from the small market so they had food. After a moment of standing there though, he shook himself out of it and then began to slowly brush his teeth, wash his face, and finally shower. But now, he had to do the part he wasn’t exactly happy about. Getting Matt out of bed.
Once at his fathers door, he knocked quietly and peaked in. He was only 10, but he was pretty much taking care of Matt at this point.
