Yes, Harper would ADORE the kids. He was an only child growing up and was expected to carry on the family name (All the more reason his dad was pissed to find out his only son was gay). He always enjoyed babysitting his younger cousins, and was more emotionally aware. Heād definitely balance out Jigsā¦Everything. Emotions wise. Even more sad as theyāre both each otherās literal foils and counter balance.
Harper would offer his own perspective (more emotions leaning) while Jig would offer his perspective that was more logic heavy. This giving the kids a more nuanced and leveled perspective growing up.
Heās a pretty live in the moment type person and while he does agree with safety and blah blah blah heād encourage the kids to take life by the horns every now and then and do something fun while they still have the time to do it.
Plus when they were a thing, Gordon was legit rooting for this.

Only to find out how good and well behaved his kids are. Like so well behaved that they thought he disciplined with force. Which isnāt at all true. Jig doesnāt believe in laying a hand on a child to get your point across. He scolds, but he doesnāt need to scream or raise his voice. He wonāt tolerate disrespect or attitude though. Once he received really bad attitude from Jesse like reallllyyyyy bad (teen years) and the visible change in his face was enough for her to back off. He took her ability to use the internet, the removed her from the phone plan, locked the tv, blocked cable, blocked all her favorite websites, revoked her book privileges, except for the dictionary (he doesnāt believe in restricting learning), made her memorize 75 words, their spelling, part of speech, and definition. Wasnāt allowed out to visit friends. The only other 3 books she was allow to read were in Russian, Spanish, and French. She also had additional chores added, (ones she hates).
