Who is a night owl: L 100%. light nearly always falls asleep before him, although he will try valiantly to get his love into bed with him
Who is a morning person: light-o ! although L is probably still awake from the night before, light’s cheery morning attitude pisses him off. so, ofc light exaggerates it. he does make coffee/tea for L though when he wakes up.
Are they cuddlers: yup! but usually only in private. in front of the rest of the task force it’s hidden touches more often than not.
Who is the big spoon: L mostly but sometimes light if his beloved is feeling particularly vulnerable.
Who is the little spoon: light most of the time. he hates to admit it - and probably never would - but he feels safer with L’s arms around him. almost like his whole world won’t come crashing down about him at any moment.
What is their favourite sleeping position: if light actually gets L to bed with him, usually light either lays his head on L’s chest so he know’s he’s breathing or L is curled around light.
Who steals all the blankets: both.
What they wear to bed: light steals L’s shirts because they’re comfy. L usually forgets to change before sleeping.
Who likes seeing the other wearing their t-shirt: both. light blushes and L just smirks.
Who falls asleep mid-conversation: both. usually due to sleep deprivation. tbh they probably fall asleep like this a lot -- they like hearing each other’s voices.
Who wakes up in the middle of the night with nightmares: light for sure ! nearly every night after he decides to step down as kira. nightmares about his family, about L leaving him, about death, basically anything you can imagine. most of the time he can go back to sleep, but only if L’s there. if not, he’ll either take sleeping pills or just wake up and start the day.
Who accidentally punched the other in their sleep: light, during a nightmare. it’s happened more than once. he’s completely shoved L off the bed before, but he didn’t notice and L pretends it didn’t happen until he brings it up in a fight.
Who can’t keep their hands to themself: both, but L moreso. Light tends to restrain himself in public and L really doesn’t care what people think. He tries to tone it down for light’s sake though.
Who said “I love you” first: light, but L thought it first.
Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background: neither. it isn’t safe. if they could, however, both would probably have a picture of them together. different pictures, though.
Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror: L. Light leaves sticky notes on the fridge/L’s screens
Who buys the other cheesy gifts: Both. Really stupid, cheesy gifts just to be annoying.
Who initiated the first kiss: Both. At the same time.
Who kisses the other awake in the morning: L. Light won’t wake L when he’s sleeping, but L might kiss light to wake him up gently.
Who starts tickle fights: Both!
Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower: Definitely L. Light usually tells him to get lost, but sometimes he’ll accept. The water usually goes cold before they get to actually showering though.
Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch: Both ! Usually light brings L food but if L notices light hasn’t eaten for a while, he might bring light something.
Who was nervous and shy on the first date: Both. They hadn’t really had a chance to go on dates during the case and now that Light has admitted that he’s kira, their relationship is strained.
Who kills/takes out the spiders: watari. always watari.
Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk: Both ! they compete to see who can say it louder/more forcefully.

Who is a night owl: misa ! sometimes she’ll watch light sleep (not in a creepy way. she’s just glad to see him at ease for once.)
Who is a morning person: light ! misa hates mornings, but she’ll try not to be too grumpy for light’s sake.
Are they cuddlers: yup! light likes to lay his head in her lap while reading in particular.
Who is the big spoon: light for once ! he holds her close and doesn’t let go easily. he hates that he’s putting her in danger and he hates that he takes out his stress on her. he wants to keep her safe from everything, particularly himself.
Who is the little spoon: misa !!!
What is their favourite sleeping position: usually light hugging misa close to him if they actually sleep together.

What they wear to bed: misa usually wears a silk night gown and light will usually wear a long sleeve shirt and sweats
